I own a 2014 Ford Taurus I started having issues a week or so before I bought it in to this mechanic shop named Tuffy. Upon dropping my car off I explained to them the best way not being a mechanic what i was hearing what I thought it was which i stated it sounds like front wheel bearings or something. They took my car said they would have it looked at the next morning at 8am and give me a call. November 23, 2022 they called me and stated that what im hearing is due to my brakes and rotors are all bad and needing to be replaced the total came to 798.00. Trust there expertise I agree and had the service completed. I picked my car up that day and took it home. Friday November 25, 2022 I got in my car and was hearing the noise again. I called Tuffy and they said they can get me in the next week on Monday to take a look. Monday came which November 28, 2022 and I got in my car and I was backing out and I didn't hear it. I call ed them to inform them I didn't hear it today and maybe it went away. I ended up parking that car and driving my other car for a 1 1/2 weeks but recently started driving the Taurus again. After driving it daily for a few days that popping and grinding sound appeared again. I called Tuffy and said "Hey that sound is not staying away I don't think it's the brakes can I bring it back in. The man agreed and said bring it back in at 8am December 20, 2022. I dropped my car off and they call me a short time later saying yes, that sound your hearing is the front Lower control arm bushings that are broke on both sides. They then proceed to say that's going to be $1200.00 plus dollars. This is where the problem comes in and the company failed. I said well I don't feel like that is right and you're wanting me to pay this full amount when you guys miss diagnose the situation. Tuffy originally diagnose it as brakes and rotor and that is not the case it was something totally different.
