After I refinanced my home mortgage and purchased a new vehicle, I opt to change insurance carriers for both, and I received a refund for my Auto Insurance and to this day have yet to the refund for the home owners insurance.Customer response

Statefarm is trying to have me pay full coverage insurance for a vehicle that was totaled in October, 2023. They wont take the vehicle off my policy. They are currently forcing me to pay insurance on a vehicle I no longer even have. Its been over 5 months now that Ive paid when I shouldnt have.Initial Complaint

I cancelled my auto insurance policy with *********************** -State Farm Insurance on January 17th 2024. I paid the monthly premium of $581.00 before the January 28th due date. I called three times to get an update on a refund and all i am told is "we don't know if you will recieve a refund or an invoice." I called Diamond on March 04, 2024, and left a voicemail and she never returned my call about the status of a refund.I always paid my insurance premiums two weeks before the due date and it is unfair for a business to lie about not knowing if i am *********** refund. I am owed 11 days remaining on the policy and they refused to return my calls.I still have a renters insurance with them and I have received two invoices from them so far. So, if they can send two invoices they can pay me a refund. The 1st time i spoke with them they said i will receive a bill or a refund in the mail. I paid through the app and now they want to send a check by mail. It is six weeks with no communication from *********************** -State Farm Insurance.I need someone to help me get my correct refund that they are refusing to pay. I have attached a mail of cancellation with no refund or explanation. I should be *********** over $200.I also want to add ******* did a fradulent act by adding my daughter's car to my auto insurance policy in April 2023, but she started the policy from February instead of the date I bought the car. So in the middle of the policy she made me pay a new deposit and give a new policy starting from Febuary instead of April. Therefore I paid two deposits between February 2023 and April 2023. We fought over it and she assured me it was okay to do that. Do I trust this agent for State Farm? NO! Glad I cancelled their policy.Initial Complaint

My name is ****************************There was a large storm that resulted in heavy rain and strong winds and there were tornados in the area. This resulted in damage to my roof as well as many other homes in the area. the incident occurred on march 30th. I opened this claim on March 31st.I have not gotten anything accomplished since then. I am LIVID!!! The fact that the adjusters dont care about fixing the issue and have been giving me the run around and a hard time is absurd. State farm advised me to tarp my roof in the meantime which I did and My ceiling is now leaking due to water getting in through the tarp. My entire roof got damaged from the storm not to mention the fact I cant have a roof that does not match due to ****** code. I have explained this to the first agent he didnt care I had to get a new agent because the first one was swearing at people and telling us we were not getting a roof. they state that they will only replace the one slope when there is more damage to the roof in other areas and also they found a shingle that is not the exact same as what we currently have. I am one step away from getting a lawyer involved. I have waited MONTHS!! Now the issue has become bigger and I will not be left hanging for your companies negligence Every single person that had roof damage in my neighborhood has gotten it completely repaired and I am the only fool waiting on State Farm to cover me for something I PAY them to cover. What is the point of insurance if when something happens you dont cover it?I had to get another Agent which also has done nothing to resolve my issue. I need someone to contact me immediately about this issue and I need my roof fixed.Initial Complaint

RE: Claim Number: 13-32Z1-86Q Date of Loss: April 20, 2022 Our Insured: ****** and *******************************. We submitted a claim for our damaged to our roof due to weather. After, over one year the company is assuming that our roofing adjuster is manipulating the shingle and lie about a temporary repair not being possible. This is our second adjuster working with us on this claim. we have been paying for house insurance for year and when we need help from our insurance they do this to is by denying our claim because they assume the documentation is being manipulated. I need to speak to someone in charge of claims. The External Claim Resource person ***************************** Ph: *************************** whom I spoke to today told me that Statefarm does not accept or work with video documentation before even looking up my claim. After he reviewed our claim they did in-fact recieve a video showing them that our shingles cant not be repaired temporarily. they need to replace the entire roof.Initial Complaint

I got some car insurance for me and my son car for full coverage and they renewed my policy on Dec 15 2022 they change my policy # and drop me down to liability insurance didn't let me know. But they were still charging me the same price for full coverage they were charging me $416.15 a month then in Jan they charged me $445.50 in Feb $325.07 after that it went back to the $416.15. I went to another insurance company in June if me or my son would have had a accident they wasn't going to pay for ours cars to get fixed and all the time I was with them I was asking for my insurance papers and I finally got them in June that is when I known that I had liability insurance. I was scared to drive because I didn't want to hit no one or no one hit me, I went through a lot of stress about this my doctor was having trouble trying to keep my blood pressure down. I couldn't sleep well I kept getting up checking my car because they are stealing ***'s car and if any of these things would have happened I don't have any money to get another car. And I paid state farm all this money to stress me out like this, that stress could have something to do with why my heart Dr. boost my heart pills from 500mg twice a day to ****mg twice a day. I don't like what they did to me and my son it was wrong, they didn't tell me that I had liability because I always get full coverage and I had took them cars from them before with full coverage because they kept going up on my insurance. Then they call me to come back and they will give me a lower price than what I was paying at the other company and they promised me that the price wouldn't go up so I went back. And that was the worst thing that I could have done trust them again. I hope that you can please help me and my son out. If they did this to me I am sure they did it to someone else and they don't know how much that hurts a person then you have to get stress out again trying to find more ins which cost more money. I would like to file a formal complaint against State Farm and would like your assistance with mediating on my behalf to have my billing rate adjusted to the agreed upon rate for the 6 month period for my auto insurance. I recently changed my auto insurance to State Farm back in May of 2023. I was given a quote which I was very satisfied with and was told by one of the agents that the rate was locked in for the 6 month period. I recently received my billing statement from state farm for my July payment and noticed that there was a substantial rate increase. I have uploaded the initial auto insurance that reflects what coverage is being provided along with the total amount of the 6 month premiums for both vehicles that I had insured. I also uploaded my July payment that according to the agent includes the balance from last month's payment with the July payment. This was the second time a billing adjustment was made by this office within a 2 month period to one of my policies. Increases in my policy premiums prior to the expiration date makes me very suspicious of predatory and unethical business practices. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated in resolving this matter.Initial Complaint

On September 7, 2023 i was rear ended. i filed a claim with my insurance company, State Farm. I paid a $500 deductible. I checked on the status of my claim June 7, 2023 and learned my claim was not completed correctly and the driver at fault was never contacted.
