On November 2 , 2021 I had Healthy Homes LLC do Crawlspace Remediation. The job cost $3800.00. Since then I have had severe sore throats and headaches. There is an awful sickening smell in here constantly. I have had multiple companies looking for months and I have bought disinfectants, air purifier and ozone generator to get the smell out of here with no help. The smell is coming up through the floors which were new when I moved in and through the registers. On August 6th I had a licensed company here. They discovered there is water in the crawlspace which I never had before. They said the barrier or plastic wasn't done correctly and now my once dry crawlspace is wet! It is seeping in that area. I had food stored above that floor and new furniture too. I emailed the owner on August 5th and asked for a refund and he said he does not plan on returning any money to me. He wants to come here and discuss it. On top of that he said he would give me a bid for water proofing! This company only thinks of making money NOT CUSTOMERS. It is ridiculous! They will no longer do any work for me obviously it's not done correctly the first time. On my insulation job I had them do the employee was peeing on my drive making vulgar comments telling the others to come look at it and the foreman backed in my drive and made a big rut in my yard and I had to buy grass seed to fix it and blaring the radio outside. I also am high risk and although I had a "must wear a mask no exceptions" because of covid (every time) they still were sneaking in without one on my camera. I am elderly and disabled but this company is a bunch of kids and they don't care. This company has caused me so much extra money and stress. I refuse to have the owner call me because of this. I want a refund for the $3800 mailed to me. I was told the jobs were guaranteed for a year. I will be sending the invoice if it will attach. If not I will mail it tomorrow through the post office. Thank You ******* **** **********

      To Whom It May Concern,

Our company did perform work on November 2, 2021 for ******* Mead. This wasn't the first time we were hired by ******* and this also wasn't the last time. The job that we performed for ******* in November of 2021 was a crawlspace mold remediation in a new house she recently bought. During our visible inspection, we saw that the crawlspace had mold and debris. Our recommendations were to remediate the mold and to insulate and encapsulate the crawlspace. We completed all of the line items that she approved in November of 2022.

Two months after the job was completed. We contacted ******* as we do with all of our clients to follow up and see how things were going. She let us know that everything looked good and she actually wanted us to come out and check on her attic. In March 2022, ******* decided to hire us again to replace the insulation in her attic. In the 4 months between jobs, we were never notified of any smells or odors that were coming from the crawlspace from the job that we did back in 2021. This includes the time period that we were working on ********* attic.

On August 5th, 2022, our team was notified by ******* with concerns about her crawlspace for the first time since her job that took place 10 months prior. During the months she was looking for multiple companies she never once reached out to let us know about her concerns with the job that we did in her crawlspace. If she did, we would have gone and reinspected the crawlspace and honored her 1-year workmanship warranty that we provide to our clients.

In the message we received from *******, she let us know for the first time, some concerns that she had about her crawlspace. One of her concerns was "there is water in my crawlspace because your employees didn't place the barrier on the wall by the vent and the rain has been coming from outside." The plastic encapsulation "barrier" that ******* mentioned does not stop water intrusion. Our encapsulation only prevents moisture from coming from the dirt or ground in a crawlspace. Our recommendations for water intrusion, like ******* described with the rainwater, would be installing an interior french drainage system. This system was not included in the estimate or the job that we completed for ******* originally, which is why we responded back to her that we could give her an estimate to install that system to prevent further water intrusion as she described.

We also let ******* know that we would not be refunding her job that we performed in her crawlspace. This is because all of the services that were on her estimate were fully completed. If she wanted us to fix the plastic in that one area we would have no problem doing that because she still has her 1-year workmanship warranty. We can only provide this warranty if we perform the work for ******* which is what we responded back to the email she sent on August 5th. Since the water intrusion (she described as rainwater coming in from outside.) was outside the scope of work for the job that we completed for $3,800, is a separate issue we would not be able to refund her.

As for the concerns about her Attic Job that took place in November. We understand her frustration about the events that took place during the insulation replacement. Our General Manager Peyton called ******* after that job to follow up like we always do for clients and she let him know what happened. Peyton let ******* know that we understand her concerns and that we would handle them for her. The employees that were responsible for the events that ******* described have since been terminated and/or no longer with the company.

I can assure you that we care deeply about our customers. Our mission statement is to change the quality of life for our customers by turning their houses into HEALTHY HOMES. If you don't want to take our word for it, you can always search our Google Page and you will find our 4.9-star rating with over 70+ reviews.

In conclusion, we will not be refunding ******* for the work that we completed in November 2021. This is due to not letting us honor our 1-year workmanship guarantee. This guarantee can only be honored if we are allowed to repair the work that we provided for our clients. Covering the cost for outside companies is not included. We would be more than willing to honor our contract by reinspecting ********* crawlspace and repairing the section of plastic that she described as not being installed correctly. We feel that we responded to ********* request and gave her options for us to honor our contract.

I attached the services that we provided for ******* and our Terms and Conditions. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. Our office phone number ###-###-####. Thank you.

      Sincerely,

      ****** ****  ******* *******  ******* ***** ***

I am rejecting this response because:
I don't agree with your statements.

I know you terminated the one employee but your foreman was acting inappropriately also.

Why would you think I would want you to come and fix the issue if it wasn't done correctly the first time?

Hopefully your employees realize that all customers need to be respected as well as their property.

      I am rejecting this response.
