    I chose this vet because they had openings when every place else was booked out a few days. Now I see why they had opening available. The service is seriously lacking. They diagnosed my puppy with Parvo and told me that the exam and X-ray would be around $200. When they bring my puppy back to me they told me they had to give her fluids and the final bill was $405. I paid it because I was emotionally drained worrying about my puppy. The next day I took her back as the vet requested, but asked to be informed of the charges before doing anything. They took my puppy back to the room, and I heard the receptionist tell the vet that I wanted to know the charges before they did any work. The vet said ok. Next thing I know, they bring my puppy back to me and said "we gave her everything we gave her yesterday and here is some meds to take at home". The bill was $150. I told them that I asked to know the charges before hand, and the vet said that whether I agreed to pay the price or not they were going to give my puppy the meds anyway to save her life. I told them that since they chose to ignore my request to know the price ahead of time, the visit today was free. I was very polite and respectful to them and they called me a "tough customer". The vet told me fine it's free and that he didn't want to see me back there again. I will happily take my business elsewhere. I appreciate the love they have for animals. I just wish they showed the human customers more respect. I don't have a problem paying the cost. I have paid every bill in cash. I just don't like surprises at the register. I have a witness who saw the whole thing. I took my puppy home and gave her activated charcoal and pedialyte unflavored and she made a full recovery. But I am reporting Fairway knolls veterinary hospital because not disclosing the price before services are performed is against the law. I just don’t want to see this happen to anyone else.
