Valadez Landscaping (non-English-speaking father and English-speaking son team) charged me $1100 for complete yard cleanup & leveling/grading yard, but they did not do the work agreed upon. The complete yard cleanup included the removal of the grass, rock border, 2 piles of rock, broken pavers, and sheet of plywood. The leveling/grading included moving around of existing dirt to make yard level (a pool was being set up Thursday, yard was too bumpy-water would pool in spots). Valadez removed the grass on Tuesday after the father unexpectedly showed up to my home in the afternoon. The job was to be done Wed, June 8, 2022, beginning at 8am, by 3 workers with a bobcat to remove rocks. Since rain was in forecast for Wednesday afternoon, I thought the father was getting a head start. On Wednesday, June 8th, the father showed up at 730am alone with a ******************* I thought he was prepping for the other workers who were bringing the bobcat. The other **************** never showed up. I figured they left the father to do the job by hand. In the afternoon, the father knocked on my door and said, Finished. I saw from my doorway that the dirt had been moved around, and I didnt see any rocks. I thought that was a lot for one man to do! I paid the father $1100 in ********* gave me a generic invoice. Once he left, I walked thru the yard & saw that he did not remove ANY rocks! He spread the rock piles all over the yard and covered them & the rock border with dirt! He did not remove the *********** put the plywood in alley. I texted the son right away. He promised to fix my yard on Thu morning but didnt show. I texted him again. He promised to fix my yard Thu at 1pm, but didnt show. I texted him again (very angrily & asked for refund). He said no refund but promised to fix my yard Fri morning with a crew but didnt show. He hasnt replied to my text yet from Friday morning when I asked, Where are you? Valadez Landscaping scammed me out of $1100!
