      On 06/10/2024 at around 11:00 AM i went to BLUE ISLAND LAUNDRY for service. I understand mishaps may happen, but the way its handle is the most important. I come to this place of business and ive personally rarely had any major issues that couldnt be fixed. In this instance. I paid for a total of 4, $4.75 cent washers and 2 of them had no water. The place was completely full, all of the washers were in use and waiting for another washer would be a complete waste of time. I alerted an employee, who then alerted another employee, who continued to talk to me as if i was beneath him and incapable of having common sense. He then walked away without addressing the problem. I waited again before alerting the only other employee there who said that she could give me my coins back, and then stated she could only give them back if i switched the machines. (each machine was full and seemed to have issues) waiting for a machine was not an option, My clothes that did complete a wash were already dry, and at that point I was overwhelmed and had an appointment to make. When i told her that, she walked off on me again, and i called the non-emergent local police station. They had a conversation with the two employees leading to talking to the owner who provided me with the option of having a free wash the next time i attended the business, but didnt care to ask for my name or any information for me to redeem that offer. at that point id wasted $10 and 2 loads worth of laundry supplies.

      Our goal is to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for the community we serve. In situations where the water level in our machines is in question, our policy is to either transfer the laundry to another machine or offer a credit for a future visit. This is because the water volume is determined by the manufacturer and can appear different depending on the type and amount of laundry in the machine. Although we have tested and confirmed the machines in question are functioning properly, we are happy to reiterate our offer to **************** of a credit for two loads of laundry in our 30LB machines, as well as complimentary laundry products (Tide, Gain, Tide Free & Clear, Downy, Bounce) for those loads. Our attendants have been informed of this credit and are ready to assist **************** during her next visit. We have reviewed our customer service expectations and commitments with our staff.  We hope this resolves the issue satisfactorily and are happy to speak directly with **************** if she would like. Thank you.
