      Shop closed with no notice. No signs of reopening. They have my key and my car in their lot. Cannot get my vehicle back until someone hands me my key. I want this resolved and compensation as I cant get my vehicle fixed to get to and from work. Last we heard from them was Saturday 04/20/2024. It is now 04/24/2024 and theyre still closed.

      My husband ********************* brought our vehicle (Avalanche) to Merlins on April 5th. They have run tests, replaced various parts, and as of today April 23rd the vehicle is not running. We asked them last Friday to not proceed and leave the vehicle out for us so we can have someone else look at it. Since then, there has been a Temporary Closed sign on the door with no return call or responses to emails. We contacted local police so we can get our vehicle, they said they received calls from multiple customers who have their vehicles stuck there. They advised us to call corporate. Cannot find a working number for corporate. Called other locations, they say they do not know the number to corporate. Merlins has already charged about $2500 or more to our credit account with them for a vehicle they have not even got up and running and we cannot get the vehicle as the company is closed with no explanation. We want our vehicle back and at the very least they should amend the charges as the truck is not running and for the inconvenience. At this point I am questioning the validity of the work they claim they did, to have racked up so many charges and after nearly a month, it is still not working, and to over charge just for the diagnostics and never finding an actual solution.

      I brought my car in for a oil leak/ oil change on 12/24/2022 and Merlins damaged my vehicle by putting the wrong fluids in the system. ****** admits putting some substance that made oil turns green, and Another Vender I had to take it to said and verified that the substance caused and still causing my 2015 Dodge Ram to loose power while driving. I had no problems prior to taking to Merlins but a minor oil leak and now theyre having issues getting the service engine light off. Please help

      In June ***************************** due to fluid leaking from the **** ****** ( aka ) **** confirmed it was leaking from the *** and that the seal needed to be replaced, and that they could fix it. I got the seal from a **** dealer and took it to his shop. The mechanic working on my car ***** was banging on the unit with a hammer and a long s**** driver to get the seal off. **** said he was not an easy job as I can see. My car has not been running right since, after leaving numerous messages at the shop for **** I decided to take it into a ******* dealer in September to look at it because now the car is having trouble going in reverse. The dealer replaced the entire power transfer unit. I called the shop a few times and left messages for the owner no return call. I remember him saying he owned a few other Merlin shops so I proceeded to call others in the area. On September 7th **** answered the phone at his Hanover Park location. I requested that he refund the money from the repairs in June and the money spent at the dealer. He said give me till Thursday am and he will look at the paperwork I left at the *********** location.. He now is not responding to calls from any locations even though messages are being left.

      On Monday June 7th, 2021, I took my 2012 ********** Jetta TDI for a simple oil change which took them about two hours to complete once the work was finally done, I drove home waited for the mail to arrive went to get the mail and notice a pool of black oil under I immediately call Hassin about the problem, he told me to bring it back there, so I did before I could get there the car started to smoke and shut down, I got the car back started, from that point my car hasn't been right, So I had the car towed to ******************************** in ********** and they supposed to have corrected the problem but made it worse and they charge me $1223.00 for the work that they did, then from that point the engine light, oil pressure light came on, then I was told by both Merlin's and ******************* that my car needed an engine, my car has been with Merlin's for the past 6 to 7 months giving them a chance to correct the problem that they cause from a simple oil change they was supposed to have put another engine in my car which I finally got back Feb 22 and the engine light is back on plus I had 3/4 tank of gas in my car when I got it back there was only 1/4 tank of gas. Timing change cost me about $3100.00 separate from the engine that was put in my car at the cost of $4830.00. I need legal assistance to file a claim against Merlin's for the damage done to my car, which was running perfectly fine all I need was a oil change, after returning from ********* **. My car still isn't running like it was before the oil change. I have photos on my cell phones, I can't continue giving they them a chance to undo the damage that they cause me and the money that I have lost. They also didn't replace my front right wheel housing cover and my battery cover on my car

      On 1/24/22, I had my car towed to Merlin because of a problem with the brakes; they were hard to press and were producing a burnt rubber smell. They said it was a problem with the wires and the hose, but I came in with one problem and left with a worse one. On 1/25/22, I didn't have my car back for 30 minutes before it started making a knocking sound from underneath. At first I thought it was just the tires, and they told me it was because they lifted my car up so the springs weren't in place or something like that regardless, they told me it wasn't a safety issue and offered to fix it on Friday. However on 1/26/22, the sound got much louder, to the point where it felt like something was falling out of the car, and the brakes were making noise as well (I have a video of this, if there is a way to upload it) and I was scared to drive it and get stuck. It turns out I was right to do so, because today (1/27/22), I tried to back out of my garage, and the car suddenly wouldn't even move in reverse, and was again making a burnt smell. At this point, I just want my money back, because I don't trust them to fix it.
