I brought my **** **** Tyee boat in to Basa's Marine on 11/3/2022 to have the trim function repaired on my 2016 ********************** They replaced the motor assembly for the trim and it worked ok until September of 2023. When I called ****** in September to ask them to look at it again, **** the mechanic refused to look at it. The reason he gave was that the boat was over 20 years old and they didn't work on boats that old. First of all, he conveniently overlooked the fact that my boat was 22 years old when they worked on it in November of 2022. Second, I did not ask them to work on the boat itself...I asked them to look at the trim on my 2016 outboard which was only 7 years old. I also asked **** if there was any warranty on the motor assembly they had replaced and he flat out lied to me and said there wasn't. I know that for a fact because I called ****** Marine and they told me that the motor assembly part in question was under warranty by ****** for a year. I wound up taking the boat and motor to another ****** dealer who replaced the entire Power Tilt Assembly...****** says this is probably what ****** should have done from the beginning. So, given the fact that ****** did not support the previous work they had done and gave me misleading information about the warranty I would not recommend anyone take their boat to them. They are very unprofessional. The work was obviously of substandard quality. If I could give them less than 1 star, I would.
