    My wife and I scheduled a routine dental exam in July of 2023. We did not have any complaints of any aches/pains/soreness. We previously were seen at another Aspen facility in 2022. This time, they insisted we get over 20 x-rays of our mouths, for no reason at all. We were re-assured that our insurance would cover the cost. In March of 2024 they billed us each for $180 for the x-rays. We have Tricare and do not pay a deductible when going to the dentist for a routine exam.I tried calling the practice to resolve the issue. I couldn't get through to anyone. I tried several days and several different times. I could never reach someone.I tried calling the Aspen number on my bill and was on hold for an hour and had the call end on me. I persisted and tried calling again. I finally got through after over half an hour of being on hold. I told the individual what had happened and they attempted to get the office manager from the Bolingbrook location on the phone. I was put on hold. After the individual came back on the phone, I was informed that the office manager has escalated my case and I would receive a call in the next two days.I never received a call. Instead, they sent my bill to collections. I would gladly pay the bill if I had a medical issue that I needed them to fix. My wife and I just got routine exams and cleanings, nothing special. I know my insurance covers routine exams. We did not ask for x-rays, nor did we need them.

    This dental office puts profit over all else. Their accounting is borderline fraudulent. I had a long term treatment with them, a full mouth extraction and a set of dentures. On my first visit they gave me an estimate that was more than 3X the price my insurance Co. In which they are in the network, sets, and only when I was walking out, they gave me another, still highly inflated price knowing this is highly inappropriate and may even be illegal. before any work was done charged me %100 of the treatment that took 8 months. The treatment was mediocre. When I requested a refund at the end, the office manager who ignored it for months, partially refunded (only after I spoke to corporate office) and ignored all of my contact attempts for the remainder of what he had overcharged me for. Further more he had submitted, without my permission, a false claim to my insurance which was rejected. I've currently requested my insurance *** to open an investigation to this office's practices.
