***** **** of Diel's Drywall and Painting submitted a bid of $1,600 that included materials, painting walls, ceilings, and drywall repair in a 12' x 9' bathroom as well as spraying knock down in a 145 1/4" x 198" utility room in our home. The bid was accepted on November 16, 2023. Work was started on the drywall in the bathroom prior to Thanksgiving. The first time he showed up to work he did not have any supplies to work with, so we supplied the drywall, mud, tape and screws. He called off of work several times due to sick children or having troubles. He was off for a previously scheduled vacation but missed his flight home. He failed to call and let me know he would not be there. Multiple times he said he would be there but did not show up. I understand contractors have multiple jobs going on at one-time however it should not take weeks to fix a small area of drywall in a 12' x 9' bathroom and paint it. The last time I had contact with ***** to ask him when he was coming back to finish the job, he was very rude and unprofessional. I paid him in good faith because I was off on Wednesday's. He was supposed to finish up the paint job on Thursday and be gone on vacation on Friday. Instead, he called off due to sick children on Thursday. Said he would be back on Friday. Did not show up on Friday. Children were still sick. Left for vacation. Supposed to be back on Monday. Missed his return flight home. Showed up for work on Tuesday but did not have the proper supplies in his truck because he took them out since he was off for vacation. Came back on Wednesday to paint. Painted the bathroom Sherwin Williams Juneberry two coats (paint we supplied). Thought this was sufficient coverage for a room that was previously painted off white. The off white from before was still showing through in some spots! I tried to contact ***** MULTIPLE times to see when he was coming back to finish the job and was ignored multiple times until I was rudely told off!!!!
