I bought these 2 packs of steaks from associates in a freezer truck.took them home.grilled 1 tbone and instantly smelled sour.apon closer inspection 1 ribeye was greenish.i contacted the company.sent pictures.and now they have been ignoring **** refuse to eat the meat.its still in my freezer in the boxes.Business response

The purpose of this email is in response to your complaint filed with the BBB with an ID of ********.
Stampede regrets that you were not pleased with the purchase you made and are having issues returning the product for a refund. Stampede does not sell to the public and the person, nor company, that sold you the product is employed or affiliated with Stampede. Stampede is a processor that sells to distributors and produce to the specification requested by that distributor. The distributors sell to independent companies and independent self-employed salespeople who then sell to the end consumer such as yourself.
We did notify you on January 10, 2022, that you would need to contact the person or company that you made the purchase from to request a refund. Unfortunately, since you did not make the purchase from us or pay us any money for the purchase and we did not make you any guarantees on the product, we cannot issue a refund. If you have a receipt or any information regarding the person or company you purchased the product from, we would be happy to assist you in obtaining a refund, but we cannot force them to take any specific action, as they are not contracted or employed by our company.
