I purchased a mini aussiedoodle on November 10, 2023 from Windy City Pups and I was informed that the dog had a clean bill of health O was provided with 2 syringes of Karo syrup for the dog 2 cans of cesars puppy food and a big ziploc bag of hard dog food. First night on Nov 10, 2023 I got the dog at the pickup location in *********, ** at the ******* from ****** and *****. Took the dog home no issue the first night by day 2 (11/11/23) the dog wasnt eating as normal I was told the dog needs to adjust to his new environment and to just give him 1.5 ml of the Karo syrup out the provided syringe from the breeder. I instructions where followed. Day 3 -5 (11/12/23-11/14/23) still having the same issue reached out to the breeders and was told to do the same steps with Karo syrup as the dog was only wanting to drink water. By 11/14/23 the dog had thrown up 3 times and I was compelled to take him to the emergency vet only for them to test his for pavro virus which was negative and to supply me with nausea medication and an antibiotic and they also gave the dog electrolytes and some complimentary gastrointestional puppy food. This tendered a $500 bill that was not feasible for me financially as I had just spent $1345.00 to purchase the dog from the breeder. The issue that I have is that in a 5 day span I should not have had to take a dog to the emergency room if the dog was supposedly healthy with no issues. Fast forward to 11/15/23- 11/27/23 I have had several issues with the dog eating after following the vets medical instructions and the breeder instructions . To this day the puppy is not eating as normal I still even took the puppy to his 10 day checkup and incured an $89.50 new client bill and paid an additional $25.00 for tick and flea medication as opposed to the flea collar I had on the dog. health records ,vet bill and the breeder receipt for the purchase of the puppy attached. I also spent money on puppy items. I request an exchange or full refund due to issues.
