Contracted Midwest Awnings (MWA) to fabricate and install an awning on my daughters house ***** ********** *** *********** *** in October 2021 and paid a down payment of $1,800 (more than 50%). Multiple delays in obtaining the materials meant the awning did not arrive until approximately March of 2022. It was finally installed on November 1st, 2022. Since that time, it has leaked profusely each time there is an average or worse rainfall. MWA has made multiple trips to the house attempting to correct this without any communications or notice whatsoever. I have refused to pay the remaining balance until the awning functions as designed but I am to the point now where the old awning was better than the new one. At least the old one did not leak. I have requested a full refund of my deposit from MWA. The trail of emails that illustrate the repeated absence of replies can be provided upon request.
