My previous AC unit was working until it went out requiring a charge - it made sense to just replace the whole unit . Utilizing his new set up my house does NOT cool past 74 degrees whenever the temp is above 80 outside. His solution to the problem was 1) I needed a new thermostat 2) weak attic insulation 3) I needed blinds 4) Move furniture around to clear registers. Keep in mind the house cooled to 69 and lower if need be with old unit (AC) and nest thermostat/ furniture arrangment. I gave him a chance and followed his instructions.1) Replaced thermostat with ecobee ($179 + tax) 2) Service call for attic insulation ($89) checked out insulation was in great condition and provided proof 3) Closed blinds for 2 day (blackout blinds) -> Again, old AC unit worked fine with them open -- Do we need to sit in a dark home all day to have a cool house...we tried this -> Didn't get past 74f 4) Went with another HVAC company ($90) - provided receipts he put freeon in - house still 74 wont coolBusiness response

I've stopped by multiple times to show the homeowner that the ** does cool down the house with a supply air discharge temperature of 52F coming out of the registers. Everytine I come, the windows are wide open exposing sunlight that produces a 78F constant temperature. He did not have any blinds over any windows but just a transparent white curtain over every window still printing heat. At this point I can no longer help the customer out, they do not believe me that the windows are the issue. I understand that light does get blocked off by closing the curtains but they do sell lights at every hardware store. The ** unit I installed does not contain freon because it is phased out and the refrigerant charge i applied was ideal in a leak free system. No further refrigerant would need to be addedCustomer response

I am rejecting this response because: I, due to ****** recommendation paid for the following (Ecobee TStat - $180). Attic Insulation Inspection ($85) - BLINDS ($425). HVAC company to come inspect his work to find it was low on refrigerant ($88). Despite what **** says - my house cooled before he put his unit in - blinds no blinds end of story. I want to be reimbursed for all monetary expenses from his recommendations that have been verified false. A replacement of the unit or simply my $3,000 back via Check + add'l expenses. A paying customer should not be told there's not more that can be done "not my house, not my problem." Or better yet be called names when asking for a resolution. This company offered to give me (2) years of cleaning for free to "make things right." I do not want to work with them further.
Sincerely,
