      BOUGHT A GARBAGE DISPOSAL IN JUNE OF 2021, DID NOT INSTALL UNTIL JULY, HAD ISSUES WITH THE **** AND CONTACTED INSINKERATOR ABOUT ISSUE, WAS REFERRED TO A REPAIR COMPANY.. THE COMPANY CAME OUT AND SAID THE ****S POWER CORD WAS BAD, WANTED 150 DOLLARS TO REPLACE, I WORK NIGHTS AND TOLD MY WIFE NO, THE INSTALLMAN SAID TO MY WIFE THAT HE WAS LOSING MONEY AND WOULD MAKE IT UP SOMEWHERE ELSE... YESTERDAY ON SUNDAY I REPLACED WIRE AND THE SAME ISSUE OF THE **** NOT WORKING, CALLED TODAY ON MONDAY 8/30/2021 AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD NOT COME OUT TO REPLACE AND HUNG UP ON ME... THEN CONTACTED INSINKERATOR

      We are an Insinkerator authorized servicer- NOT Insinkerator themselves. They outline their warranty terms, which were explained in advance of setting the appointment- They, Insinkerator, do not cover issues relating to misuse/care, installation, or outside influence. ****************** power cord had been chewed through by mice- which he was aware of prior to calling for service given that a replacement power cord was at his home prior to our arrival. Due to the issue being from mice- not a defect with the machine, he was provided with an estimate to complete the replacement of the cord which was necessary to determine any further issue with the machine. They (Mr. ***** ***************) declined to pay for the repair, which given the circumstances was not covered by Insinkerator, or even the cost of the service call fee they were made aware of in advance. ****************** situation was reported to Insinkerator via our local service representative. We cannot provide service when a customer refuses to pay. We suggest ************** contact Insinkerator to see if they are willing to make concessions for his failure due to outside influence.

      I am rejecting this response because: We do not have mice and this serviceman is just making it up. and I have the cord to show that it had a small cut,, this serviceman was upset because he was not able to charge us the 150 dollars he wanted.. he made some comment about making it up somewhere else.... after reading their poor reviews I had contacted insinkerator the same day... 
       Insinkerator  agreed to help us out because the service company decided to keep the item after not installing it here...  they will ship out another because of the service company not holding to their standards..

      We have outlined all the facts of this encounter. ************** is simply providing false information to try and extort services. Insinkerator has all the details regarding this event- it is in their hands. We do not have anything further to discuss nor will we provide service to ************** in the future. There will be no resolution in this matter.
