About 9 months ago I took my truck to the shop, and paid $1600 to fix the gears at the rear of my truck that were messed up. I picked my truck up and saw the work wasn't done, so I took it back and he replaced the rear end. I ended up taking my truck back to the shop 3-4 additional times and the issue was still not resolved. I also received a second opinion from **** and they confirmed the issue. After several times of taking my truck back to the shop and the issue still not being resolved, I requested a refund. *****, the owner, said he couldn't provide a refund. I eventually took my truck to **** and had the issue fixed. Afterwards I went back to ****** **** ********** and provided a receipt for the work done at Ford.Business response

*** ********* Brought his truck to us the vehicle had a bad pinion gear set in the rear end We contacted ****** salvage and got a replacement rear end we put the new rear end in that Gave him 24000 miles Of protection on the part from ****** salvage He came back after the 1st warranty was up I went ahead and had a second rear end put in this vehicle Free of charge to him even though he exceeded the mileage specified.. Keep in mind this is a 20 plus year old truck I tried to get him to do a new rear end when we put the 1st one in but the price was too high at the time. Now fast Forward a couple months later *** ********* came in said he was starting to have issues again I said I'll take a look I did gear adjustments and I put new bushings in the rear end for him free of charge yet again. Now you fast forward to present time with no other conversations *** ********* Brought me a bill of $2000 plus from **** for a brand new rear end they installed in this truck he asked me to pay for this I responded with I will not be covering any of this. I've gone above and beyond for this customer and I have all documented proof to show so. I hope you have a great day.Initial Complaint

I was triple charged, for repair and parts. My dad and I took car to have it checked, not handling in the rear. Explain the problems we were having with the vehicle the mechanic took it out for a test drive he felt the problems we were having advised rear sway bar link replacement. This was on a Friday he said he would order the parts have them and repair the car on Monday took the car in on Monday the parts were not there I was triple charged for labor to replace rear sway bar links takes 30 minutes was charged 4 hours for labor the parts weren't there they ordered two parts one from ******** then one from the dealership then overcharge me I heard the reception is get the price I was there in the office for the parts. And the car is still not repaired and doing the exact same thing paid $520. Not returning phone calls.Business response

******* ****** came in to my shop with having rear end issues she stated that she had been driving on this issue for a while. I have my technician pulled a vehicle in and inspected found that the swaybar inlings and the trailing arms had where in the Bushings I informed her that there may be other issues due to the Away the vehicle was swaying but these would be addressing a good portion of the problem These trailing arm bolts had to be cut out because they were seized inside the bushes I had to send my secretary to the dealership to get bolts that we did not have. We got the vehicle back together I took it for a test drive a good majority of the swing seemed to dissipate I came back let her know that there's still maybe an issue with the strut due to the Vehicle swaying She took it home within less than 24 hours she had already wrote a complaint and a letter to the Better Business Bureau before I even had the opportunity to correct it or even verify any issues that she was having when she arrived the next morning I gladly took her home got the vehicle up the vehicle up in the air found that the Upper control arms had play on the inner bushing I went ahead and took care of this for the customer free of charge urge because I wanted her to be safe and happy Upper control arms had play on the inner bushing I went ahead and took care of this for the customer free of charge urge because I wanted her to be safe and happy In no way In no way Was I responsible to do this but I did it because my customer satisfactory comes 1st above everything else. Despite the complaint And the better view I still went above and beyond to make sure that this customer was taken care of Just really wish that I would add the opportunity to address the situation beforehand.
