1/27/2023 Arrived around 3:15 am. It was 32 degrees out. As we entered there were NO extra blankets and none for the roll out bed. There was only one thin summer blanket. There was NO HEAT in our room. We all slept in our coats and hats. Of course it was filthy with stains everywhere. NOW it is time to wash our hands AND THERE WAS NO HOT WATER!!! As we were leaving within a few hours, told the man at the window and he did not reply in English. There was some sort of breakfast and knowing there was no hot water. For sanitary measures this is a health issue. Now I contacted the ******** health department at and someone told me that they sent over someone for the inspection but there was hot water in the food area THAT DAY. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF THE BUILDING??? I have tried 5 more times to contact the Illinois health dept. but no one would answer my call. As of today 5/21/2023 THIS PLACE IS STILL OPEN. UNINHABITABLE, UNPLEASANT AND UNSATISFACTORY.Review from Tanya C

Wyndam should be ashamed. BEWARE of this place. The pictures that are posted fraudulent. Rooms are dark, pee and makeup stains on sheets and pillows, BED BUGS everywhere, mold on walls, paint peeling, concrete broken both inside and outside. Smoke detector not working. Outside is completely falling apart. We were shown three rooms, all three were disgusting and hadn't been cleaned for a long time. Bathroom had a hole in the shower floor so large I could stick my hand down it. We refused to stay and asked for a refund. Guy at the front desk acted like he didn't know how to give a refund but assured us he would email our refund receipt which he never did. I wouldn't let a homeless person stay here. Unsanitary and dangerous and this place should be shut down.
