On 08/17/18 and 8/24/18, via the business' website, the BBB notified Luna Heating and Air Conditioning of its continued misuse of the BBB Accredited Business torch logo.

Our records show that Luna Heating and Air Conditioning is not affiliated with the BBB®. The name "Better Business Bureau" is a federally registered trademark owned by the Council of Better Business Bureaus, Inc. (CBBB). The mark may only be used in limited ways by authorized users that have entered into a licensing agreement with the BBB, and may not be used in any manner that conveys sponsorship or approval.

Their use of this trademark without permission constitutes trademark infringement and is a violation of the trademark rights of the CBBB. Moreover, the manner of their misuse of the CBBB’s mark may well constitute false and misleading advertising in violation of state and federal statutes.

On 9/18/18, the BBB serving Chicago and Northern IL referred this business to the Council of Better Business Bureaus (CBBB).
