American Auto Insurance Agency does not have a customer under the name of ******************* in our system. Also noted, this gentleman lives in the *********************** and our agency only writes business within the state of ********.
It appears that this complaint was directed to our agency in error. Therefore, we request that this be corrected and removed so that it does not reflect on our business.

I am rejecting this response because:
You supply insurance to *** manufacturing in which is the customer that you have that has caused me a loss you do not have me in your system as a customer because I am a claimant against your company and I am getting no help from your adjusters. I will not remove the complaint, nor will I delete the complaint.

**************, I understand your frustration. However, I'm unable to help you with the information you're providing us with. We are an agency and we represent multiple carriers that handle their own claims directly. If the person that hit you is one of our customers, we would have referred him to his carrier to process the claim. Without a name of our customer or a policy number, I'm unable to assist you.Initial Complaint

My vehicle was apart of a hit and run on July 16, 2023. Unfortunately I was unable to see the hot and run as it occured at my apartment complex at night. I jave sustained damage to the right side of my vehicle. It has been over five months and United Equitable Insurance (American Auto Insurance is the broker) has stalled on assisting me with getting my car fix. They have been ignoring my calls/emails on the issue, they have made me get documentation that is not appropriate for the car accident and they have lost the paperwork many times from the mechanic. I do not understand what I am paying for. I pay for full coverage on my vehicle and the insurance company that they brokered are not doing their job.Business response

As American Auto is just the agent, we do not handle claims, they are handled directly by the carriers. Therefore, upon receipt of this letter, we immediately contacted United Equitable Insurance to see what was happening with ********************** claim and to ask them to contact him.
We were advised by United Equitable Insurance that they called and spoke to the insured yesterday (12/05/2023) and that they advised him of what documents were still needed from him in order to proceed with his claim. Once the carrier receives them, they can proceed with his claim.
We believe that this response should resolve this matter. Please feel free to conatct us if you have any questions or need any additional information.
