To whom this may concern.I ************************* took my 2006 ***** equinox to Chicago Auto repair located at *************** Chicago ******** ***** on June 1st 2023 at 7:00am and left my truck The problem was I needed a a/C compressor installed in the vehicle the price was $500 for the job when they started the job they found out that the wires were not connected correctly in the vehicle so they charged me another $250 to correct the wiring in the vehicle.When I picked up the vehicle I noticed my top to my electrical part box under the hood was missing I notified ********* the owner of the shop about the situation right away. he told me that he would speak to the mechanic that worked on my car this was June the 1st I'm still calling trying to get in touch with him about this top that goes on that box he's giving me the runaround half of the time he doesn't answer the phone I've been over to the shop twice and I still haven't resolved this problem because I'm getting the same answer he needs to speak to the mechanic or the mechanic is not in I have my receipts for everything that was done to the vehicle but I'm not getting any correct answers about this top and this is June the 7th and I'm still waiting on a answer.Initial Complaint

I ordered a bumper on Feb 28. It arrived (late) on April 5 damaged. I refused the package. I tried contacting them several times regarding the issue. I was given a bad email for the claim and when I tried calling back to get it resolved either nobody answered or I got put on hold. Finally after talking to someone after several attempts they said they were going to put it at the front of the line and fix the issue. I should've received a tracking number within 10 days. When I called today they told me claims was reviewing it but they had no idea what I was talking about. The communication is non existent.Initial Complaint

I went to this mechanic shop to get a engine installed they evacuated the a/c but didnt charge it back up once they put the new engine in they didnt put any oil in the car or nothing and I paid in full when I called them and told them they said they wasnt doing itInitial Complaint

I went to purchase a used ************ for my 2010 Chrysler town and country the first one they sent to the shop was cracked and the auto shop that had my car called and had them to send a replacement! They went and dropped off a different trans I paid $850 for the trans then I paid $1402 to Mr ************ to install the trans. I pick up my car and the trans was jumping I called mr ************ they told me to contact Chicago auto parts since thats where I purchased it from, I called them they told me to bring them the vehicle I dropped my car off they had it over a week then I get w call from them stating that they couldnt get the trans from 6th gear and theyll replace the trans but I would have to pay them $750 in labor. I went to their location to ask why would I have to pay them for labor when I paid labor and they were the ones who sold the bogus trans. The owner got disrespectful and told me to take my car and leave I called the police and the police said its nothing they can do, he asked for the receipt so he can attach it to the new receipt when I dropped the car off so now hes telling me if I can produce the receipt and the trans then get the f*** off his property. He called me a bunch of b******* and told me because we were in the neighborhood of his fellow Mexicans he wasnt worried about s*** and he wasnt giving me my money back unless I wanted to be involved in a gang warInitial Complaint

I went to the shop 10/13/21 and explained to them my problems and i was told that i needed a new motor/engine the price was $850. Which i paid for. Wen i returned to pick the car back up, 10/17/21 it was discovered that they didn't replace the part but kept the same defected engine/motor. I was told to come back. I then returned a few days later to pick up my car 11/2/21. I started it up and everything was fine. The check engine light was no longer shining. i discovered that my headlights were out. I didn't say anything because i thought that i needed a new bulb. when i drove to get it checked out , there was an internal issue with my headlights. A problem that wasn't there when i dropped the car off. On November 2 my car wasn't exceeding 20mph and it was also smoking so i took it back. And explained to them my problems they stated that i needed a Val cover gasket and also an exhaust pipe. On 11/4/21 I dropped my car off & paid $250 for those problems. I returned 11/16/21 to pick up the car but the exhaust pipe was never replaced only "repaired" . As i was upset with them giving me the run around he told me that he was no longer going to service me because i was yelling. He told me to exit the shop. Which i did. I went to the shop a total of 4 times and spent A little over $1,000 just for them to add more problems to the one they didn't even fix. I really feel like they took advantage of me and would like a refund or for my car to be repaired.
