I purchased tickets from the company for myself and 7 family members for a trip to *******. The trip rolled around a month later and my family and I noticed that the tickets say that there was a strict dress code so we went and spent $300 to make sure we fit that dress code. Upon arriving we noticed they actually werent enforcing a dress code. We boarded the boat, and it was packed full of people, causing me to be concerned about weight capacity. They then attempted to start the boat, unsuccessfully as there was thick black smoke upon them starting the engine. You could literally feel the engine stalling and the boat struggling to pull off as the attempted to leave the dock. They spun in a small circle the size of the boat and connected back to the dock without ever leaving the bay. We sat for another 15 minutes before the announced that we would not sail due to bad weather which was clearly a lie and they knew that we wouldnt sail and still allowed hundreds of ppl to board so that they could scan the tickets and not owe a refund. They deceived all of us into boarding and took our money. My family and I alone are out of hundreds in transportation, clothing, and ticket money. They have similar bad reviews. *** reached out to the company and despite me being a tourist they refuse to refund anything and claim they can only offer a reschedule. *** explained I dont live in the state and cant afford to come back. Im sure they know most tourist WONT come back and wont go through the trouble. They even took pictures of me and my family (prior to telling us we werent taking off) that they will use for advertising for MORE people to scam. They definitely need to be investigated. Theyre raking in tons of money from unsuspecting tourist and it isnt right.Initial Complaint

I bought a ticket to the Cupid ********************** boat ride at Anita Dee ********************** Charters ********************************************************************* Phone: ************** Fax: **************. I paid ***** on 2/10/23. The boat ride was scheduled for 2/11/23. The boat ride list direction instructions on their website which stated to board at *********************, in which my sisters and I caught an Uber because we are from out of town and didn't drive to *******. The Uber let us out specifically at the location where the Anita Dee ******** stated to arrive to. Once arrived we saw know boats or yachts just water with empty boat spaces. I then called the ******** 10 times trying to contact them to see what was going on with the **********************, because we was standing outside the area where we was told to board. No where on the company website does it list any other instructions for customers to follow to locate and board the **********************. I began to text the company multiple lines they had and ***** was responding back to me for hours nor was they answering the phone when I was calling to get more instructions on where and how to board the **********************. My 2 sisters received a full refund. And I didn't receive a refund or anything else. When they lady finally decided to call me after I have contacted her several times with no answer, she decides to call me at 9:02, hrs after I've been contacting them. I've requested a full refund from this company, because they are unprofessional and caused me all kinds of havoc and a huge inconvenience. The lady who answered hrs later about the situation said she can't do refunds, I told her that's not true because my 2 sisters received their refunds, so it doesn't make sense on why they won't refund me my money back as well. It was not my fault they didn't give accurate location directions for people to get to the ********************** easily and in a timely fashion. This was their company mistake and I need to be fully refunded my *****, being I didn't get on the ********************** ride because of their poor communication skills.Business response

*********** our yacht venue's to private clients that promote and sell tickets to thier events aboard the boats. My cleint is willing to refund her. She is refunding her now and will provide a screen shot of the transaction.Customer response

I booked a cruise on the Anita *** for 04/23/22 boat Never went out on the water we just stayed dockside. Emailed to see about refund for told I can only get a raincheck no of the 10 that I booked for lives in *******. my order number is **********. There is no possible way All ten of us will able a meet in ******* for this again. All of us lives in different states.Business response

We are a venue and rent the yacht to private clients who in turn, promoter thier own events and sell tickets to the public.
I am contacting the client who hosted this event and demanding they get contact the consumer immediately.
