I sent the following to the the bar/general manager at Metro/Smart a month ago (minus closing due to space limitations) and received no response:Hi *****,I wanted to reach out to you about my experience visiting Metro to see Local H this past Friday. To cut to the chase, I wound up missing the end of the show because the two people I was with were removed about halfway through the headliner set. I'm not going to try and debate whether they were drunk or not. They were, and visibly so. However, I wasn't and while I understand Metro has a commitment to provide a good experience for as many of their patrons as possible, you guys really missed the **** this time around and I'm pretty unhappy about how they (and by extension me, because I couldn't just stay when my wife got booted) were treated. We were at stage left towards the front and while again I won't deny that my wife and her friend were pretty drunk, they also weren't really doing anything besides being mildly annoying while in the eyeline of a security guard. They were given no warning, no communication at all, they weren't cut off by the bar, nothing. One minute they were enjoying the show dancing with each other, the next they were being escorted out.I don't really understand what the logic of this was. If they were too drunk to stand there, weren't they also too drunk to get served? Nobody brought them drinks from the bar but staff and it's not as though they went from fine to out of control in one drink.Second, if they were too drunk to stand there how is it a good idea to kick them out onto ***** Street in a snow storm? Your staff didn't know I was with them until I made it known. What was the plan here?Third, why wasn't there any attempt to warn them before ejecting them? I was standing right behind them the entire time and I'm not exaggerating in the least when I tell you the first time anybody said anything to them it was in the form of ejecting them from the show. That was extremely uncool.Initial Complaint

I was denied entrance after having already paid for a ticket. According to the over zealous security guards this was about an issue that happened a month ago and the manager already helped us resolve it. Imagine my shock when somehow the gate guy recognizes me from weeks ago (I did not recognize him) and will not let me in even though I already paid for a ticket and this was resolved weeks ago. The original problem was I was supposed to stand in line in a particular area to get into a different part of the bar, I kid you not, I squeezed into this particular area, and the employee had an issue with it and decided I should be kicked out. I stood up for myself and the manager that night agreed with me and let me back in, but apparently this man has nothing better to do with his time, so he has been waiting these many weeks for me to return, just to deny me entrance. This is the first time Ive ever left any kind of review, but Im quite upset about my experiences at this bar.
