These contractors said they would begin roof work in October 2021 and be finished within two weeks. They built a scaffold then vanished. Reappeared off and on in November, then left again with work unfinished.Mid-November, water started dripping into my furnace closet. Contractors came, said they would fix issue, but I don't know what they did, if anything. Drip stopped then started again for multiple days in early January 2022. First the contractors insisted it was condensation caused by my furnace. Then furnace stopped functioning. Neighbors above also had water and non-functioning furnace. Took four days for contractors to fix water dripping (our furnaces were repaired by Four Seasons HVAC within three days).Yesterday, upstairs neighbors got more water dripping, and their furnace stopped functioning.Contractors say they will fix drip issue by the end of this week, but as this has recurred multiple times, I am doubtful and frustrated. Contractors say they could not finish roof work in December due to weather. There were many temperate days in December, even a 60 degree day. I suffer from a lifelong disability and cannot afford a furnace outage. My and neighbors' furnaces are new, and will cost nearly $15,000 to replace both if irreparably damaged. I shouldn't have to wake up all night terrified that the furnace is broken because a "two week" roof job is still unfinished. I am asking that they at least permanently repair the area of the roof that is causing the drip. More so, I am asking they finish the entire roofing job as quickly as possible.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:Thank you for the polite response. However, it does not address my concerns in any way. I will not close the complaint until both of my original requests are answered in writing. Have you fixed the area of the roof that was causing the water drip? When do you plan to finish the entirety of the roof work?

I apologize for not answering your questions adequately. To better respond I have copied and pasted your questions below with our response.
Have you fixed the area of the roof that was causing the water drip? Yes, rest assure that we have repaired the damage that was causing the leak which was above apartment 3A, and 3B, which are above you. Actually, the entire section was repaired and set with a black sealant for extra protection.
When do you plan to finish the entirety of the roof work? The only thing that is left to replace are some parts for the air conditioning units, and unfortunately, I can not give you an exact time of completion for this project as we are still negotiating with the insurance company. I can tell you however, that this will, in no way cause any further issues with leaking.
