I have been trying to get a hold of someone for the past two days to figure out why my Acct. was closed back on April 6th. I have not been notified of any of this no email or call was made. I have been in contact with my accountant since then and I last spoke with my Accountant this past Monday to make a payment. Still not notification that my acct had been closed. All phones are disconnected!! I called the office on Montrose and have not gotten one answer just VM I am not able to get a hold of anyone!! If my Acct was closed back in April then who have I been paying since? I will be stopping by their office Tomorrow and they better pray that someone will be there to assist!! Not being able to get a hold of them for two days is concerning. Why was my Acct closed and why wasnt I notified of it. Why wasnt it communicated. I have been speaking to my Accountant since after April 6th 2023 and was never told that my Acct has been closed. I made a total of $856 payments since April 6th 2023. On their site it says that my Acct is closed and I owe $1,880 if my Acct is closed who have I been paying for the last two months.

Bought the Jeep Cherokee in Nov of 2022 a month later the vehicle was having issues. Took the car in and they fixed things that didnt need fixing. They didnt fix the reason I brought it in. I brought the car back and now they are saying the engine blew while in their possession. How is that possible? They have reviews from previous employees of their ********* sale of lemon cars. They want me to pay ****** for labor and a new engine.

January 4th I purchased a vehicle at Chicago Car Center ***************************************************************. I put a down payment of of ***** dollars cash. The staff was totally unprofessional. I feel that this car dealership took advantage of me because this was my very first time ever buying a vehicle & financing a vehicle. The very first car that I purchased was Chevrolet Cruze 2015 on January 4th 2023. The moment I left the car dealership the ***** Cruze began to over heat the ***** Cruze had very poor acceleration. So the very next morning I returned the ***** Cruze back to Chicago car Center for a better vehicle. I Was then given a ***** CR-V 2011 with the mileage of ****** miles. The ***** CR-V was driving pretty well until 2 days later when the ***** CR-V wouldn't crank. It has been several times when the ***** CR-V wouldn't start/crank & has left me stranded on the ******************* I notified the dealership & told them my issues I was having they responded in a rudely way saying I am a liar & that's not true. I returned the ***** CR-V back to Chicago Car Center & asked for my down payment of ***** back because they weren't honest about the condition of the cars they are selling. Chicago Car Center Denied my return of the down payment & forced me to receive another vehicle from them. I was shocked & afraid at the time I didn't know how to handle this situation. So The third car that I received from this dealership was a Chevrolet Equinox 2016. This Car was in poor condition the brakes were dragging the the ground & the car was so loud that it sounds like it was missing a muffler. This car also had a non stop shake to it. I tried my best to work with the vehicle it just didn't work out with me for transportation use. I had possession of the Chevrolet Equinox for only 6 days because I didn't know what to do in this situation. On the 6th day I called the finance bank & told them I am not moving forward with Chicago car Center I returned the Chevrolet. I have cried days.

I purchased the vehicle in 2018, been having issues since I got it. I take it to the shop and they fix it but then it started acting up again. I reached out to them and all they do is repair it just to drive it out of the shop. Last year it stayed in the shop for whole month of November. I told them the check engine started to come and they told me that I they have to see it. Now the transmission is gone out and I can't register the vehicle because it will not go through.

We appreciate having had *************************** as a customer for the last 4 years.

Any car, whether new or used, is likely to have mechanical issues over time.

Luckily, ********************** bought a 3 year vehicle service contract that took care of fixing her car a year ago. We see notes that the fix took a while to figure out.

Unfortunately, Chicago Car Center cannot be responsible for fixing mechanical issues 4 years after the purchase.

The mechanic shop correctly told her that they would have to look at the car to determine the seriousness of the ****************** problem. If the transmission is truly broken, it may not be worth fixing it.

We will reach out to ********************** to see if she is interested in trading in her car to get a new car.

I purchased a vehicle on October 21st on the 23rd my check engine light came I took it back to the dealership I purchased it from because if anything happens in the the first 30 days they agreed to fully fix and repair the issue. I took the car in they said it was the catalytic converter and that it would be fixed I picked up the car after the allegedly fixed the problem but then again three days later the check engine light comes on again and again I take it to the shop for another mechanic in the same shop saying that it is once again the catalytic converter nothing had been fixed they are just cutting off the check engine light they are purposely not answering the phone and keep giving the run around trying to prolong this 30 days so they will eventually not be responsible Ive paid them over $2000 towards this car and I just want it fixed correctly as promised and guaranteed to me in contract.

We believe the customer issue has been fully taken care of. We had no issue with taking care of the repairs within the 30 days.

When **************** bought the car, he agreed to a deferred down payment. His major issue seemed to be that he needed to pay that to get his vehicle back.

*************************** was sold another car after her first car was totalled and she received a new contract on the day of sale in her email. She needed to provide a little more information to get set up properly in the ****** system. However, she did not respond to any calls or text messages and did not make any payments. Without any contact or payments we had to repossess the vehicle. She has been offered to redeem her vehicle.

I purchased a vehicle from Chicago Car Center, *** on March 29, 2022. The vehicle purchase was supposed to come with a 7 day guarantee and 30 day warranty to cover mechanical problems and an insurance/service plan to cover maintenance and insurance. The vehicle broke down the day after leaving the lot. I was told to bring the vehicle back to the dealership for service; the additional service/insurance plan equaled roughly 40% of the vehicle purchase price (Vehicle price - ******; Insurance plan price - $7313), however, they were performing the service at the dealership. I returned the vehicle, they allegedly performed the repair, however it broke down again a couple of days later. I was still within the 7 day window so I asked to return the vehicle and cancel the agreement however they refused, stating that they could only exchange for another vehicle that was the same price or higher. At the this point, I have had the vehicle for a little over a month and it does not run. I feel like the vehicle and the additional warranty/maintenance/insurance are all completely worthless. I would like to return this vehicle and receive a full refund.

The car that ************** ****** purchased from us unfortunately had some engine problems that only became known after the sale. Fortunately for ****************, we offer a 30 warranty as part of the purchase were we repair all issues that become known during that time at no cost to the customer. Based on the engine error codes, it looked like replacing the *** would take care of the issue. Unfortunately, it that did not fix the issue and we determined we have to replace the engine. We have the replacement engine at our service center waiting for **************** to bring the car, but it seems he is not able to bring it until June 6th.

We also have a unique offering where we offer to exchange a car into another car during the first 7 days and **************** qualified for the this program. We presented a number of alternatives, but he was not interested in any of them. This program is also included in the purchase price.

**************** also purchased two other programs. The maintenance program provides money to pay for oil changes and future repairs. The umbrella program covers liability insurance and accident coverage. Neither of these programs relate to the immediate mechanical problems.

We would like to help **************** get driving again.

      Complaint: 17187126

I am rejecting this response because: the car sales lady knew that she was selling me a car with a faulty engine, so thats why she offered the many different programs that I had to pay for. She told me if the car has any engine problems then she proceeded to say if the car has any problems the program would cover. I feel scammed out of my name because if I decide to give up the car now it would mess up my credit completely , so I feel stuck with this car. They took my down payment and they knew it was something wrong the car. I asked for a refund because the car broke down after only 2 days and I wanted to take my services somewhere else but they didnt allow it because they told me that I can exchange it for a different car not knowing I have to pay for that program. I would like my money back and they can take the car and make sure its nothing that affect my credit.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

We can guarantee you that the sales lady did not know the car had mechanical problems. No sales person want to sell a product that the customer is not happy about as that creates a lot issues and extra work for them. However, they know that most cars will have mechanical issues over 4 years and those issues often arise when customers don't have the spare money for the repair, so they advocate those protection products. We will continue to do our best to keep you driving.

I purchased a car from Chicago car center and they told me I had full coverage but they went behind my back and got liability with another company and theyre refusing to print out my full coverage contract

      Business response

      04/29/2022

*************************** has a little misunderstanding of how the full coverage plan works. She bought an umbrella program covering four different situations. The first is liability insurance. ******************* can only be issued by insurance companies. She got an insurance card, which is the only thing required by the state and the police. The second is an accident waiver that is similar to a comprehensive/collision part of a full coverage policy. The accident waiver can be issued by ******. The original sales contract has a full description of the umbrella policy. We will be happy to give her another copy of the contract if needed.
