When I was in the initial process of getting into the school I was told that I will be graduating with a license and would be receiving help in signing up with the *** for my licensure. Once I got into the school I had the unfortunate experience of going into the classroom with most of my professors zooming in. Most of my cohort had to commute long to not be seated in a classroom staring at a computer screen. When this was brought up into the department chair, *****************************, she would disregard our comments and stated we have to be in class otherwise it was marked absent. She was so strict into this she did not allow students to zoom into class the way the professors do if there was an emergency. One of my classmates was in the ** due to a motorcycle accident and in order to not hurt his grade he zoomed into the class. Once ******** heard about this she forced his professors to mark him absent making him fail one class and needing to retake it. She was also unfair to the professors. In my first semester I had a pregnant professor who refused to go into the classroom because she did not want to be exposed to COVID. This professor would often disregard ******** rules to put the student's first. ******** essentially told her if she does not go in person she would be fired - most of the professors are zooming in and they did not have the same threats. ******** was forced to step down from her position but she is still working in the school. No one has replaced her and comes the current issue where we are in the brisk of graduating with no license which we were promised and no guidance on how to sign up in the ***. The point of contact now is *********************** who works in Chicago for the school but when we go to her for any questions or concerns she will not reply back to our emails or direct us to someone else who also does not get back to us. I paid over 70k for this degree and help with licensure and unfortunately my cohort has not had a good experience with either.
