The last time I visited Carrollwood Dental Group was early 2019. In 2022 I started getting bills for services. When I called the dental office was initially unable to confirm the exact dates the bill was for and why I had a balance. They at first told me they think the service was in 2018 and then they later changed their story and said the service was for 2019. The balance was also initially over 500. Now they claim I still owe 221. Ive called my insurance company and they have mailed several checks to the dental office. The insurance company has confirmed that all services provided were fully covered under insurance. The dental office also claims that the attached bill would also be covered by insurance, but they claim that they never got the check from the insurance provider. This is fraud, because the insurance provider can with detail confirm all of the checks given and can confirm that they have tried to pay the below bill. The staff at the office will not help me resolve this issue that has been going on for months now.Business response

Enclosed is a copy of the letter sent to me. I do not own the dental practice. Sold it 5+ years ago. Now owned by Elite Dental Partners out of *******. Please remove my name from any complaint and send to Elite the correspondence. I would like a letter stating that I am out of this complaint.Initial Complaint

I went to ********************** on August 22, 2019. At that time I was an **************** Solider under full coverage insurance through United Concordia. I revived a notice of a balance due via a generic email on 9/9/21 . This was my first contact about a balance. I called and spoke to the sender ***************************** and discussed my ****. Following the discussion we decided that she would verify whether or not it was submitted to insurance and if I did in fact owe money she would call me on a Monday (early November). She never called me. Today I received a notification that my account was sent to collections. I called my insurance and found they were submitting my claim under the incorrect dentist and therefore it was rejected. I spent 4 hours today trying to get someone from Elite Dental Partners on the phone to discuss my account as to date I have never received an itemized **** of any kind. I was told to call back tomorrow to hopefully get answers which I do not in fact trust to occur based on previous dealings. Essentially they are short staffed and have a high inter-company turnover rate. At this point I want to protect myself from this companies inability to manage billing and finances.Business response

We were sorry to learn that this patient had an unpleasant experience. We have reviewed the patients case and have determined that the particular doctor she saw was not in network with her insurance company, causing her insurer to deny the claim. While the practice was closed in July, the patients entire balance is being written off and her account has been removed from collections. On behalf of the practice, we apologize for any inconvenience this error caused the patient.
