************************* is an unethical and evil man.He made a false report to the ******************* of health accusing me of removing AST's using unlicensed contractors. He sent me this in a text message all because I told him I didn't want to move forward with him doing the fuel removal and tank removal. I decided against using him because I didn't feel comfortable doing business with him. He kept insisting that I cut him a check for ****** dollars for a deposit and I didn't feel comfortable doing that because that was not the agreement we had prior. The more I expressed my concern with that the more he got angry. He attempted to strong arm me into giving him the money several days before the job was scheduled to begin. At that point I told him I no longer wanted to move forward with the project. At this point he yelled at me over the phone and proceeded to tell lies against me to the city. Please stay away from this business, he is one of the most evil people that I've ever dealt with. I am so glad that I didn't end up hiring him this is not the type of person you want to deal with. If things don't go his way he will call the city and tell lies to them. Luckily I have my proof of everything and I'm working with a much more ethical contractor to take care of my AST issues.

This review is totally incorrect. We are a licensed Tank Removal Contractor with the ********************* (OSFM) and the City of Chicago ********** of ****** Health (****). Only Licensed Tank Removal contractors are allowed to Permit and Remove Underground (***) and Aboveground Storage Tanks (AST) in ********. ******** had an unlicensed contractor removing (2) ******* Gallon ASTs. I know this because I saw that they were removing the concrete dike surrounding the ASTs, plus ******** told me she hired the unlicensed contractor to remove the ASTs. I called the **** and reported her for hiring an unlicensed contractor to remove her ASTs. Please note that ******** is also the owner (at the same site) of (2) USTs that have been Out of Service for more than 5 years and has been given a Notice of Violation (NOV) by **** for not removing the USTS.Licensed *** and AST removal contractors like Chicago Tank Removal, Inc. ensure that Human Health and the Environment are protected.

Chicago Tank Removal successfully removed a buried tank that we located in our backyard. We were excavating around my home and the Ditch Witch hit the tank. We bought the home with the clear understanding that there were no buried tanks on the property. They removed ************** filled with old oil. The tank had a ton of holes in it and over time the smelly oil would've leached into our home so I am glad we had it done. They came in and got it done in the same day. In and out and you'd never know there was a tank sitting there at one time. Grateful.

Like millions of homeowners in NE ********, SE ********* and **********, ******* was stuck with a Underground Storage Tank (UST) containing ************ Many home owners knowingly or unknowingly find out they have a UST containing heating oil when the tank leaks into their basement from the spring thaw or after a rainstorm..*********** was replaced coal to fuel furnaces in most homes and businesses in ******* in the 20s and 30s because it was cleaner and one did not have to stoke the stove all night *********** replaced *********** as a fuel for furnaces because it was cleaner and probably cheaper at the time. When people converted from heating oil to natural gas, there was no environmental consciousness at the time, heating oil was less than $.05 per gallon so there was no financial incentive to pump the oil out AND the homeowner just purchase a new furnace or boiler for $600-$900 (which was a lot of money back then) so they just left the USTs in the ground for the next homeowner. "Honey it's been there this long let's leave it." Or "out of site out of mind".So, like all new technology, ********* with *********** tanks left the tanks with the new technology of *********** as a fuel for their furnaces. We removed ********* UST BEFORE it leaked into his basement and was a bigger and more costly problem.
