I am at the ********** in *********, **. I have seen the veo scooters all about, parked or dropped in spots, on sidewalks, in the road... Earlier this week I came out of the hotel to drive my rental vehicle to work at 0615 to find a veo scooter dropped directly behind my vehicle making it impossible to move without running over it. So I went to move it out of the way. The thing is so heavy and clunky to the point of almost impossible to move it. If I was not in as good of shape as I am I don't think I would've been able to move it, as is took me 5 mins to get it out of the way. This could've cost someone else to be late, or physical trauma if they tried to move it not being as fit as me. I was frustrated with it and don't understand how this nuisance would be allowed to obstruct so much with no way to resolve the issue. If my family were delayed from a health appt or work because of this nuisance I would consider law suit, but law makers and enforcers really need to address this before something really catastrophic happens.

Veo is 10 dollar hold to unlock and 39 cents a minute. I tried to unlock 2 bikes on 3/27/24 in which they DID NOT unlock. Yet my bank account was charged two 10 dollar holds. They did unlock after the second try and placed 2 twenty dollar holds which we're returned. I paid ***** and 4.40 for the rides. The 20 dollar holds were returned the other two were not returned and they refused to accept there is anything wrong on their end.

I tried to rent a scooter yesterday from VEO. I downloaded the app and tried to sign up. I scanned the scooter to take a ride. It charged me, but I never took a ride because it needed my ID. I emailed the company and they told me the $10 fee was a non refundable deposit! There is nowhere in their terms of service that states anything about a non refundable deposit fee. This is a scam! They charged me before I was even approved to ride! That is FRAUDULENT! They have a D- score and arent part of the BBB. I wish Id known! Im visiting Fla and they dont even have this service where I live! Id like my $10 back and for this company to clearly state the $10 fee before they steal from others.

Hello,I had a conversation with VEO ride about using one of their bikes that are electrics in the *****************,They offered a discount and I asked them repeatedly if I would have to make a $10 deposit,They didn't clearly awnser. They then charged me $5 out off my bank without asking me and I needed the $5 for groceries. Then finding out to use their bikes I could have to make a $10 deposit. I requested my $5 back and the company was mean in their ways and refused to give me the $5 back.I'm looking for a reimbursement of the $5.Thank you.******

On 3/04/23 I attempted a Group Ride for me and my sister while in ************, **. There was only one charged bike and scooter available in the area, even after 30 minutes tracking options down. The Veo app allowed me to turn both on, once on, the scooter said it was in a no riding zone. We walked it over to the beach bike path but it still did not work, so I opened the app and selected End All rides. It asked me to take a picture, so I did. Showing both the scooter and bike parked. I immediately checked the app to make sure the rides had ended and it did not show any ongoing rides. We decided to wait to see if another bike became available and during that time someone who works with Veo came by. When we mentioned what we were doing he noted that the Scooter seemed to still be active. Once he mentioned that, I checked the app again and it showed that the scooter had become "The Host" of the Group ride and had been accruing $$ while parked for over 20 minutes! After several more minutes of trying to end the ride to no avail, someone else finally told us we had to *walk* the scooter (despite it being very heavy and offline) up the hill to Ocean Ave. so it would allow us to end the ride. All this to say, my sister and I spent over an hour of vacation time dealing with the inefficiencies of the VEO app and system. It caused us to miss the ************* as we were short on time. First, scooters that are in a no ride zone should not be able to be unlocked. Secondly, the app glitch not showing any active rides made it impossible to catch the issue sooner. Thirdly, the app needs to give clearer instructions of where to go when in a no ride zone. I kept looking at the map but could not figure out where to go until someone had to tell me to go to Ocean Ave. I called customer service explaining what happened. After over a week of emailing back and forth, then a call. They were snarky, refused to refund me to my card and said they trusted their data more than me.

They are not offering the electric scooters in my area right now and I've decided to stop using the service. I have a balance of $12, which they will not return.I'd simply like my money back.

This is for a rental bike service named VEO in *******, **. We found 3 bikes, 3 of us downloaded the app and put in our credit card information, then tried to activate the bikes, and 2 of them would not start. All 3 were charged $10 deposit that they are saying is nonrefundable. The cost for the bikes for the one rider was $6 and she now has a credit for $4, we were on vacation and will not be ever returning to WA to use such credit, Nothing said that there was a minimum fee of $10 to use these bikes. The 2 of us were charged $10 each and unable to ride. We both found other bikes through UBER/LIME and logged in and were able to ride those bikes where they may put a hold on our cards for more than the bike fee, but its released immediately and not kept as a credit, we were charged for the time we used. I have reached out to VEO and they have emailed that it is my loss because they claim that somewhere in the set up process it says NONrefundable deposit. This is a tourist area and i am sure alot of people try these bikes out and should not be charged a minimum of $10 for a short ride, the only reason the one was $6 was because she started hers, ours did not work and then when we got ours working she was charged for waiting. we went a few blocks to catch the train to the airport. we could have ubered to the airport for less than the $30 they charged. This is a misrepresentation, and trickery. They refuse to refund. I will be filing a law suit and seeking my legal fees and costs as I am an attorney and even though this is only $30, its a theft. I will also be filing with the city and the ************************ if this is not resolved immediately. Thank you for your assistance. Nothing in the very long rules states that there is a nonrefundable $10 deposit.
