  I hired this law office back in July 2023 for $12,000 to take care of my divorce with custody. They told me that they would take care of everything and I would have absolutely nothing to worry about. Months later I started receiving invoices for thousands of dollars more and the billing time on the invoices made no sense they were charging me an hour for every call they made me which they only made a couple and each call lasted no longer than five minutes they were charging an hour for every email they sent me . I am right now I found out the ******** *************** is investigating them for exactly those practices. They also did absolutely nothing for me other than take my money.

  The issues concerning the Law Office's withdrawal and reasonableness of fees were presented to the Court last year and **************** was present in Court and had an opportunity to object and the Court found the allegations in our motion to be true.  Such was resolved by Court Order.  Notwithstanding ******************** belated request for a refund, the Law Offices will not be seeking the balance fo the fees owed.

  The retainer I was asked to place was ******* which I did, almost three months later with no court date or progress on my case at all. I receive an invoice for ******* without even having 1 court appearance at all, there was services that I am being charged without ever being notified of them, they have 3 attorneys and 3 paralegals working on a case and still no court date was given. I was mislead by the promise that was made to me on behalf of the law firm. This business operates as a sales business. They ask for all this money-and there is nothing to show for any of the suppose work they have done.

  Beginning in August 2020, I filed for a divorce from my ex-wife *************************. The divorce was in Will County. I was seeking to remove my son from my ex-wife due to drugs in the home. The beginning about was ****** dollars. I met with *********************** to begin the filing process. I was able to get my son safely into my custody due to the drugs and issues with my ex-wife. The Judge in Will County placed my son in my temporary custody. My divorce was drug out over 21 months. The Leving Law firm and ************** charged me repeatedly for 4 financial disclosures, 2 interrogatories, and unbelievable charges resulting in almost ******* in legal fees. I am not a rich person and hold a blue color job. There was not great wealth or property to dispute. I have paid $5,000 a month since October 2020. I have paid ************************************* over $140,000 for my divorce. The divorce was drug out due to COVID and lack of cooperative opposing counsel. ************** constantly requested things that were great expense to me and then did not use these items for any reason. ************** did not gain my Sole Custody of my son--It was the Guardian Ad Litem that I also paid at the same time and my mother through various inappropriate behavior from my ex-spouse. I feel that The Leving Law Firm and their ******* Final Bill -- of which I have already paid ******* is a huge and gross misappropriation of representation and billing--They have violated the standards set by ******** Law. I am trapped and cannot afford to pay this huge amount. The Leving Law Firm is repeatedly harassing with phone calls with profanity and screaming at me. I have continued to pay $1000 a month to maintain some payment and what I can afford. I have to care for my son and myself. I work as an electrician not a lawyer or executive with a 6 figure income. I am hoping that the BBB is able to assist me in seeking that my already paid $******* meets the amount for a contested divorce with custody issues.
