I called Semoore Fencing to install a Vinyl fence with two gates, from my garage edge to my neighbors garage edge, which would be on a slant because my garage sits out a little farther than my neighbor garage. Someone named ***** came out and gave me a quote of $1,948 for the fence, 24 foot long and 6 foot tall, with two gates that opened inwards, from the right, the same as my old gate. ***** said he would send me a contract, which I never received, but I did receive an invoice for the down payment. The fence they installed was fine, but the gates were installed wrong. The gates were installed to open outward, and to open from the left with the lock on the outside. It was not installed from the edge of my garage to my neighbors garage. They also left the cap off my neighbors post. I spoke with the owner, and he said that it was correct, but he never saw the finish job. He argued with me until I said he would either correct the fences or not, but I was not going to continue to argue with him and I hung up. The owner texts me to tell me he was having a different service crew come out to turn all four gate posts inward, rehang the gates to inswing, and put the cap on. They came out to make the correction. They changed the direction of the door to open right, but still opened outward with the holes left showing on the posts, the hardware showing on the outside, added a latch and handle on the inside, and it is still wrong. After they left, I notice there was a bent vinyl piece on the fence, the s**** was sticking out of the latch, like it was going to come a loose, and it is hard to close the latch. I text *****, to tell him it was wrong, he called me and said that was correct, I said it was not, and hung up. My neighbor and I want it to be fixed. The gate opened inward from the right side, all the hardware on the inside, the latch replaced with what was there in the first place only turned the correct way, and no holes in our post, or our money back.Business response

Good day ****************. Again, I have show you the manufacturers catalog and explained that there is no correct or incorrect way that a gate opens. Some customers prefer in. Others prefer out. It was never specified in writing, and our sales rep never mentioned, nor recalled you asking. I explained to you in the attached texts that I could either have a slide bar attached and even offered to turn both gates and posts completely around to satisfy you. Then, you said to leave it opening out, as long as you can lock it on the inside. I sent my service team out there to turn all four posts around and have your gates open in, and you told them it was fine. I have no problem turning all post around and having all gates open inward as I originally planned to have done at your service appointment. I will have a service crew take care of that within the next 7 days. If there is anything else please let me know and it will be done. Me or no one from my company has never refused to resolve your issue
