Claimed to have a 7 year warranty for a roof repair. The property leaked multiple times in the past couple of years (see text conversations). Based on their ****** reviews they are going by multiple business entities. ************ is their current number.Initial Complaint

We hired ******************* this past winter (December 2021) to fix a roof leak for our condo in the Chicago land area and signed a contract that included a "20 year guarantee on all work and labor and materials". Not only did Sunny's work not fix our leak (it continues to cause damage every time it rains in the exact same spots), but he has refused to honor his warranty and has no plans to fix the poor quality work he performed. We initially paid him $4200, which he then asked for an extra $300 to cover unforeseen incremental expenses. After 6 months of going back and forth on him coming out to fix his work and honor his warranty he then asked for us to front him another $300 to pay for materials which he would pay back once the roof was properly fixed. He proceeded to keep this $300 paid this summer and has not fixed anything and is completely unresponsive to our attempted communications. We've essentially paid him close to $5000 now for no improvement to our roof leak, no honor of his agreed upon warranty, and no plans for him to remedy any of this. He has stated he has no plans to fix any of this. We paid this money for nothing.Initial Complaint

Business: Chicago Flat Roofing Repairs Company On 3/23/2022, we hired this company to inspect and repair a leak in our roof. The contract consisted of the following: - repairing ridge vent gap with shingles - tie in new shingles - seal pip vents and air vents - caulk and repair skylight - all work guaranteed for 5 years - total cost: $3,500 Sunny assured us they fixed the leak, which they said was the damaged ridge vent. Clearly, out water damage is in a completely different part of the house, so their assessment was completely incorrect. Upon the next rain, we had even more water coming into our house. it has caused extensive damage to our walls, extensive mold growth confirmed by mold testing, and mold allergies in humans and in cats. Upon calling Sunny back to fix the job (since it was guaranteed for 5 years), he made several excuses why he couldn't come out right away, despite the company claiming to provide 24/7 emergency roofing service and guaranteed work. Then, after two days of constant water pouring into our house, quickly growing water and model damage, and back and forth attempting to get someone back out to repair the roof properly, Sunny just stopped returning my phone calls. We finally called another roofing company (Chicago Roofing Solutions) to assess and fix the problem. This company informed us that the previous job was a quick-fix, cheap solution. Chicago Flat Roofing Repairs Company did not seal the pipe vents properly and did not put shingles over and around them, but instead used a cement and caulking to patch the job. This company scammed us and took the cheap way out. They claim 5 year guarantee when they don't actually follow through with that. And they do not provide 24/7 roofing repairs as advertised. I want my $3,500 refunded immediately.Initial Complaint

11/4/2021 ******************* had crew come on and work on my roof and now my roof is leaking and causing damages with mold and my ceiling cracking. I have reached out for 3 weeks and have had zero resolve.Initial Complaint

In September 2021 we hired ******************* / Chicago Flat Roofing Repairs to repair our leaking roof. We were promised repair/full coating of our flat roof in Chicago. The total amount was $2600, which we paid in full in September. A few weeks after the job was supposedly completed we had our first real downpour. Water was still coming down on our porch area. We contacted ***** immediately, sent him pictures. He promised to come out a number of times, only not to show up nor return calls. We have the text messages between us to prove these conversations. He also used pics of our roof in his advertising, so he cannot dispute that he was on our roof. He is now in hiding, no longer returns our calls.
