      The Ayo Chicken Groundnut **** nutrition facts are incorrectly labeled. It says 12 g carb and 34 g protein. There is zero way the serving size is 12 g of carb from rice and 34 g of protein. As a nutrition student about to take the dietitian exam, it is very alarming to see such an error go uncorrected for so long. I have reported it to the Ayo website several months ago, got no response, and still see the mislabeled nutrition false facts on the packages. Please resolve, someone could be very harmed by this information by incorrectly dosing their insulin or not getting their protein or carbs they need. My best guess is that it appears you have reversed the grams of protein and grams of carb. I tried to measure them out but it's difficult to do accurately since after heating, the sauce and the chicken and the rice all mix together and it's hard to separate. It is very tasty. But for the sake of your company and your customers, you need to correct your nutrition facts.

      Confirming all Ayo recipes go through through 3rd party experts to determine the nutrition credentials.   In the case of our Groundnut ***** protein is high driven by two primary sources - 1) All Natural Peanut Butter (ground peanuts & oil) and 2) All Natural Chicken thighs.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      You ignored the most concerning part of this complaint - the inaccurate carbohydrate content. There is no way there is only 12 grams carbs from rice in the groundnut ***** For comparison, your chicken yassa has a similar volume of rice (I bought and measured them both previously, and went back to the store to take a picture of the labels for comparison). The yassa has 67 g of carbs and 18 g protein according to the label. This is far more in line with what it measures out to be. Since you have now lied about your product, I have filed a complaint with my local grocery store where I found your product. I will also be filing a complaint for inaccurate nutrition facts label with the ********** and Federal trade commission. I am disappointed in your company for not only having inaccurate labels but then pretending it is correct when you have been informed otherwise. I didnt spend 4 years in nutrition school and 12 years as a chef to not know what *************************************** rice.

      Hello,

      We would never challenge your expertise in our field and are disappointed to hear that you feel we are not being fully transparent.  Every Ayo package on the market is reviewed by an **** approved program to develop nutritionals  based on our recipes.  In the case of Chicken Yassa, we do use a different rice type than Groundnut **** and label as appropriate.   This item's formula and supporting nutritionals were approved by the **** in December 2022.  I've noted that approval here for your reference.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      You are missing the point entirely. There is zero way there is only 12 (twelve) grams of carbs in the chicken groundnut **** meal with the amount of rice that comes in that. That is what is grossly and egregiously mislabeled and dangerously so for patients with diabetes who need to dose their insulin based on accurate carb counts. Many food-tracking apps allow people to just scan the bar code of the meal or type the name of the meal and it inputs the nutrition info and then they dose insulin on that amount. You are harming people by not having accurate carb counts. People can end up in comas if they have the wrong amount of carbs vs insulin. This is not a joke and I would like to speak to whoever did your calculations because this is not ok, and what is worse is continuing to pretend that its just fine. The food is tasty, your ethics are not good.

      I was excited to support this business. I placed an order in March 25th and after almost a month...still no tracking. I politely sent an email to the contact email on their website on 4/16/22...no response. At this point, I then messaged them on Instagram on 4/27/22, seeing as how they are posting on IG everyday but not responding to the business email, AND I GOT A RESPONSE! They asked for my name and order #, which I provided. Then guess what? If you guessed no response AGAIN, you're right. But I still allowed them time to get my order together because maybe it just slipped past somehow ???????. 5/18/22 and STILL hadn't gotten an update, yes...almost 2 months since placing the order. I was truly excited but HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. It is EXTREMELY unsettling to put your bank card information through a website for a business transaction and then you begin to see unprofessional business practices...you instantly begin to question if you've been scammed. Please be careful guys. I NEVER got any communication from them or products.

      We are so incredibly sorry about your experience.  We had a system transition when your original order was placed and it should have been resolved manually right away.  Your delayed shipment and not acceptable and inconsistent with how we do business.  As a sign of our sincerest apologies we have fully refunded your order, and sent you a six month supply of pepper sauces for your trouble.  Please look out for that deliver this Wednesday.
