We had an extremely negative experience with this company in April 2023. The service technician was 45 minutes late for the initial appointment. He stayed only for 15 minutes, without performing any measurements and without discussing any project details. Two days later, we received an estimate that was 10 times larger than what was initial quoted to us, based on the photos we had submitted. This was not worth a $99 pre-payment for the initial appointment. When I emailed the company **** ******************** regarding those issues, the conversation quickly deteriorated into personal insults, including that as a woman, I was "ridiculous," that I should just talk to my husband first, and, when my husband supported me, ************** emailed that my husband doesn't have "balls." ************** also threatened us with a legal restraining order so that we do not complain anymore. All this in response to a polite email pointing out that the technician was late, did not do measurements, and the estimate was grossly excessive. It is a shame such a business exists in ********.

The fact that this individual was a woman had zero bering on my response to her ridiculous email attacking me personally as "unprofessional" when the only interaction that I had with her up to that point was sending back a professional proposal within 48 hours of my estimator meeting with her. (she was not in communication with my estimator during the estimators meeting) Her personal attacks, to what ammounted to an estimate, along with her husbands obsessive compulsive email burst threatening me were the catatlist of what prompted me to threaten a restraining order. At this point I will look into this becoming a matter for the legal authorities.

Facts: I scheduled my appointment for artwork/picture hanging and mounting of 2 TVs one 50in and one 48in. I bought the mounting system for both TVs with everything included and for up to 55in. My appointment was scheduled a week before for 12pm. The day of the scheduled appointment I got a call in the morning stating that the handyman was sick and had to go for a COVID19 test. But they called back and said that they had another handyman to do the job but he was leaving another job and was gonna be ***** minutes late. Which I was fine with. The new handyman called me and asked what all did he have to do because he was 20 miles away and was going to be late. I told him the job and he said that he didn't know that he had to hang artwork/pictures and that he needed to go to *********** I said ok. He arrived at12:25 in the lobby and in my apartment about 12:30. I had to leave at 1:15pm but my partner stayed home. I got a text from my partner saying that the handyman couldn't mount the 2nd TV because it was too big for the equipment (not correct). The biggest problem was that he started charging me for a 11:30am start because he had to go to the store. He charged me for the materials which were screws and a stud finder/leveler. So he came unprepared without basic tools. You still need a leveler to mount a TV. So even though he was late, had inadequate supplies, and did not mount the 2nd TV, he still charged me for 3 hours. Entered the apartment at 12:30pm and left at 2:30pm. Ultimately the company supported his decision making in which they should have picked up the cost due to their lack of effective communication with the handyman. I used their services on 2 other occasions for the same job at my other apartments and it took 1 hour without any trips to the store and both TVs were mounted and artwork was hung. This time it was a complete fail of execution, time management, and ultimately customer service. I will not use this company again. But if you do use them please watch everything.

The customer will always get charged for shopping for materials related to their project.

If there were zero stars, that would be my review. There was a change in the job order. HOWEVER, the it was never communicated to me that it would take this inexperienced worker the entire 6hours to do one job. I finally spoke to the unskilled employee's supervisor in ******** (I'm in ********) that the agreement was that the unskilled, and now apparently uncommunicative employee's tasks were to do drywall AND some of the smaller tasks. Supervisor *** from ******** assured me that he would adjust the price. Today, I learned that not only did they charge me th whole fee for a job poorly done, and small tasks not done at all, but I had to have the job redone today. *** seems to have remembered the location of the job, but nothing else. Why are these people on anyone's list as experts, reliable, and good at what they do?

This individual is less than genuine. We booked her for the 6 hrs, she changed the entire workscope than proceeded to leave. When she came back at the end of the day (6 hrs later) she was assotonished that we were still working on her expanded workscope. She then proceeded to inform us how the work should have never taken that long. There is nothing more disingenuous than an individual that either cannot and or will not perform the work on their own inform you how long something should take. Especially when they did not even bother to witness the laboring event. ******* ** Founder , Budget Right Handyman.
