I bought a new construction from MK Construction in Sept 2022 which included a 1 year warranty. In May 2023, we noticed a water spot on the dining room ceiling. MK Construction came out and inspected the damage. The project manager was concerned and had their plumber come out the next day to open up the ceiling The plumber made multiple cuts into different spots of the drywall including the wet spot. The plumber was not able to find the leak after testing out different water flows. He spent a significant time in the house. He placed a paper towel over the hole where the wet spot was. He showed me the wet drywall and it was clearly wet on both sides.MK Construction came out to close the hole after a week with no additional water issues. I was informed by their worker that the painter will come out at a later time as I was heading out on vacation.After MK Construction failed to contact me with a date for the painter, I sent multiple requests via email and sms. On 7/27, I received an email from an ********************** Manager, that MK Construction is not planning to fix the holes they cut as it was not their fault and the drywall was only wet on the exterior.I request some help from the BBB as I believe that this is unprofessional business. As a consumer I would have expected that MK Construction would gave clearly stated that in the event the water issue was caused by myself that I am responsible for the cost of the repair. Not once was this mentioned. MK Construction claim that the drywall was only wet on the exterior is completely false. The plumber showed it to me and why would he have tested so many scenarios if he didn't see any inside water damage.In addition, why would the worker that patched the hole discuss with me that he will work on getting the painter scheduled.I appreciate your time in reviewing my complaint.
