On 11/2/22, my husband (*****) and I, spoke to Omar Perez Construction in regard to repairing damage to the front exterior and inside interior of our house in *********** **. The work was to reframe the front entrance of the home, replace a window, front door, front exterior siding, reframe interior stairwell wall, interior wall that was damaged, replace doorbell, replace outside and inside electrical outlets and switches. He quoted us $14,500 for the entire job. We gave a downpayment of $6500 on 11/16/22 and was waiting on Perez to obtain permits from the village which took him til Dec 7th to do! And stated he will start that Saturday on 12/10/22. Saturday came and he cancelled stating next week. On 12/16/22 they started and Dec 17/18 they asked for an additional $4000 to get material. At this point they had not completed anything but demo of the exterior. We were reluctant to give him money because he just started, and nothing was done but he was acting as if he couldn't start without it. We paid him the $4K. They order our window and state it will take 6 weeks to deliver and put in a temp window until it comes in. On 01/06/23 they stated they will return when window they order comes in to finish work. At this point only 30% of the work was done. They kept making excuses about the weather not permitting or they needed the heat on to do job. They left all of the trash and demo from the work. They sent a person over to do the electric we paid out of pocket for material which was including in the job. And electric is not completed. After so many cancellations and no shows. 2/2/23 they worked. Text us 2/22/23 saying they will finish everything and never came. I kept giving them opportunities to make this right now its March. I told them in April Im suing them and they finally put in window, but the rest is incomplete. They called us June trying to complete work. Owner was seen peeing outside our house on 6/9/23 and said he need the balance $4K upfront to complete.
