I wanted to purchase six ****** gift cards (activate $50.00 each) on September 7, 2024. The cashier was having issues loading the gift cards and sent me to the **************** Desk. The associate along with a supervisor had issues activating the remaining gift cards. I was told that 3 are activated and 3 are not and was told that a store manager would call me the next day. I received a call from the store manager on September 8, 2024 and was told that only two cards are activated and the rest are not. He also informed me that gift cards are non-refundable and I can come by the store to pick up the two gift cards that are activated, which I did. I understand that gift cards are non-refundable but 4 gift cards were not activated with money on them. The store was having issues activating the cards; I did not change my mind about the gift cards after the fact. When I went to pick up the two gift cards on September 8 and was attempting to speak with the store manager about a resolution, he turned his back to me to work behind the counter.Initial Complaint

Date of Transaction 7/21/2023 I went to the self checkout like I have always done at every store that offers it to avoid any rude customer service and yet I am still treated awful by the workers watching the self checkout lanes because the registers are very sensitive and continue to beep after scanning a few items over and over again and need approval by an employee before continuing to checkout. I have been treated like a thief twice at this location Tonys on Belmont Ave The women approach you and demand to count your items in your bags before they let you checkout. Their approach is embarrassing and demeaning and very frustrating in front of other people. If Tonys Finer Food has concerns of people stealing then they need to remove the self checkout because I have witness arguments with other customers with the same approach of stealing. The staff needs to be trained on customer service and approach people with dignity and respect. **** will and have started to loose customers because of this matter. This is the only store that I have been treated like a criminal. I do self checkout at **** Club, Target, ************* and many more and have been treated with respect if I need help at the self checkout. I am writing this complaint because I do not want other people to continue to be treated this way. I will take my business elsewhere although, I live across the street from the store and have lived in the neighborhood for 20 yrs. Something has to change with this store it is poorly managed.
