Bought a vintage guitar online for $******. I asked if it was all orig. at time of purchase. I went over entire guitar with him and he said it was all orig. I also told him that if i found anything non orig. about the guitar i could send it back for full refund and he agreed. When i got the guitar i looked it over very carefully and noticed that the guitar had been refinished at one time, it was also refretted and one of the pots had been changed. All these changes severly lower the value of vintage guitars. I called him and he said the finish was real and he refused to comment on the other issues.I am an expert on vintage guitars for over **************************************** I told him i am sending the guitar back and he said he was dissapointed. I sent the guitar back to ******* priority mail. They tried to deliver it but they never excepted it or went to pick it up or answer any of my calls or emails. They refuse to give me my money back. They lied about the condition of the guitar and my ****** dollars is being held by them. I need that money and besides not keeping their promise and word to me they state a policy online that they have a 3 day return policy and they wont honor that either

On April 13, ****, *********************** purchased a **** Fender Telecaster from our store, via a direct phone sale. We have been in the business since ****, and are a trusted, well respected name in the industry. Based on a previous transaction with us, and ****** reputation in the industry, we were very reluctant to do the deal. There are countless stories of Mr. ******* bad business doings / ethics through the years. In fact, just 2 years ago, he was sued for selling a counterfeit guitar. This is public knowledge. Because of his history, we were apprehensive and insisted on a bank wire for payment. We take every major form of payment (credit card, PayPal, etc), but could not fully trust ****************. During the process of the sale, **************** was often forgetful over the phone, not remembering previous conversations about the guitar we had discussed. We believe ****************, who is retired, not to be well. After several conversations over the phone discussing the details of the guitar, as well as sending detailed photographs of every part of the guitar via email, we reluctantly proceeded and did the deal. **************** said he couldnt play guitar anymore, but was bored since retirement, and purchased the guitar to sell.  **************** received and signed for the guitar on Wednesday, April 19th. He then reached out via email on Monday, April 24th, making false accusations about the guitar, and said hes sending it back. This return was not authorized. **************** also claimed he had a 3 day approval period, based on our Reverb.com policy. This guitar was NOT purchased on Reverb. But hypothetically, even if it had been, he tried returning the guitar 5 days after receiving. **************** chose to ship the guitar back, without authorization, via ***************** *************** The guitar never arrived at our store, and weve never had possession of it again. Now **************** is lying, making threats, and slandering our name. We will respond with a defamation lawsuit if he continues..

I BOUGHT A VINTAGE GUITAR ONLINE FROM A WEBSITE CALLED REVERB.COM. SS VINTAGE WAS SELLING THE GUITAR FOR $26500. I AGREED TO BUY IT AND WIRED $25000 TO SS VINTAGE ON 01/10/2022. THE GUITAR I FOUND OUT IS RE PAINTED AND NOT WORTH THE MONEY I WIRED TO THEM. I ASKED THEM TO REFUND MY $25000 WITH A WIRE TRANSFER TO MY ACCOUNT AND THEY HAVE REFUSED AND THEY PUT THE SAME GUITAR BACK ON REVERB.COM FOR MORE MONEY, $29500. THEY HAVE NOT TRIED TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER AND HAVE EMBEZZLED MY $25000. I AM A SENIOR CITIZEN, DISABLED AND THIS MONEY CAME OUT OF MY ***. I WANT MY $25000 BACK IMMEDIATELY.

I am rejecting this response because:

      SEE ATTACHMENTS

Consumer called and said he has emailed in proof that he paid the company. Pulled emails added to file for a response. The consumer said he takes exception to the company calling him fraudulent, He said they have stolen ****** dollars from him. I have been buying guitars and amps for 30 years and I have never run into this issue with guitar and amp dealers, These guys have lied to me numerous times about a return and nothing has ever happened.

THIS SHOWS THAT ****** DID RECEIVE THE $******.00 TO BANK OF AMERICA.

Hey ****- Im still in the air (weve been circling ******* forever because of weather. Got an ice storm last night). Id really love the opportunity to win back your trust and know that the lack of speed in communication was all because of my traveling complications. The Wi-Fi keeps coming in and out as well. So some messages were not going through. I thought we had a great deal going before all of this. Also, we didnt have the wire this morning, which is why our owner didnt tel me anything. Hes been constantly checking since you emailed me Saturday. Then I didnt see his message that it came in until well after he sent it. Im not trying to make excuses here, Im just telling you the gods honest truth. Id even ship the guitar before you did the other payment. Im happy to discuss any and all of this on the phone when I land. Again, Im sorry for the delay.

I'm not sure what else to say here. The customers bank literally told our bank the payment was a possible fraudulent payment, and not only froze it, but then also forced us to changed accounts. Which, was a nightmare. We couldn't have sent the wire back even if we wanted. Attached is the email proof from the bank.

      "*****,

      Update for you.

This was not an error on **** of Americas side.  The Fraud claim was initiated on the ***** Fargo side, and their client, I believe *************************, was claiming that HE was the victim of Fraud.  Once ******* claimed that, ***** Fargo sent the alert to **** of America, then **** of America had to place the 888 hold on the account until resolved; which we have been working through.

Now this fraud claim will be taken care of between the two firms, and the returning of the money that was wired ($25k).

With your new account you are good to go, and there is nothing left for you to do.  If that individual reaches out again, let him know that it is being handled between the two firms; ***** Fargo and **** of ******************** a great week."
