      A 1-star review is too generous! Never have I ever had such horrible health insurance! Any company that offers this insurance to their employees is doing them a disservice! First of all, the BCBSIL website is NOT updated. My family has done our due diligence to make sure a dr accepts this insurance only to find out after our arrival to the office that they don't take it. Some of the specialty doctors listed on the website have nothing to do with that particular specialty. We called a neurologist office and they were actually an ENT practice! We have been double-billed and get customer no-service when we call BCBSIL. We have been beyond frustrated with this company and cant wait to get rid of them next year. Please DO NOT use this insurance company! They should be shut down!

      It's unbelievable. Has this company even read these complaints? How can they still be in business? I have read through the reviews and can say nothing that hasn't already been said. Mocking people, lying to people, scams, etc. They have no problem taking your money but when it comes to needing help they do not care and do not help. I am considering a class action lawsuit. I know there have been enough complaints this year alone to get plenty of people involved. Please don't add your blanket statement about reaching out to the member directly because this page proves that you DO NOT help people.

      The worst! Blue Cross Blue Shield of IL refers to unfair treatment that patients receive from health care providers because of the type of insurance they have (or because they do not have insurance). I have insurance through them and because I'm a contracted employee, my meds are not covered by them. This is discrimination.

      Worst customer service experience ever should of taken 2 minutes to do what I needed done but took over 40 minutes had to call 3 times and every time it was a 5 to 10 minute wait to talk to a real person

      Discussed the plan and they assured me that all the medicine I was taking was covered and my current doctors where in network. So when the time comes to refill my prescriptions was told that insurance was not covering any of them. They wanted to charge me $590 for just one of my prescriptions. They blatantly lied and scammed me.

      I would like to say they do a great job and stand by what they put in their policy, but they don't. I changed jobs in June of 2023 and my new employer uses this company for coverage for employees. I have been on the same prescription meds for 5+ years. I checked to see if this policy would cover the medications I was on and the doctors I was using. All good. I understand pre-authorizations for medications and that can take some time. But I was denied 3 times. The doctor has submitted documentation that the prescription is medically necessary. I spoke with a customer service representative and was basically accused of being a drug addict and that I should take Tylenol or some healthier choice for pain relief. I am still in an appeal process but not seeing much action on this. Other than finding a healthy choice and talking to the doctor there is no suggestions of alternatives the would cover. I am guessing going to the Insurance Commissioner for the State of FL is my next step.

      they are incredible inconsiderate of the adhd medicine shortage causing me to be off my meds for over a week at times because they are so disorganized and uncaring for others health and only care about money. i have never felt more violently angry in my life and i would give them 0 stars if i could. they barely pay for anything and are honestly just hyped. don't waste your money.

      40 minutes for lunch and I decided to call and pay my late BCBS premium. You'd a thought I murdered someone with the barrage of the same questions, being put in hold, having a reference number but the rep cant find the premium price ( I told her 4 times what it was ).NOT EVERYONE LIKES TO DEAL WITH AN AUTOMATED SYSTEM!!!

      The worst **************** I have ever dealt with. My husband was laid off and recently went back to work. So, we have to go into Healthcare.gov and update financial information and pick a policy. We do this twice a year. My nightmare begins with calling BCBS **************** department to see if the policy made it from Healthcare.gov to you them and then I have to pay a binder payment. I end up calling numerous times and sit on hold and honestly it is a nightmare. I fill out the paper and send it in allowing me to discuss my husband's account. I have repeatedly asked for a **************** Supervisor and NEVER get one. 22 minutes on a call and ******* hung up. Anyway, this is my second day of calling, I'm sure there will be ten more calls to come.
