We have had *** from Chicagoland Appliance Repair at our house on multiple visits for our Wolf Oven. Summary: (1) He claimed to install 2 new parts that we later found were not installed in our oven; (2) On a second separate visit, he rewired our oven incorrectly.(1) 12/23: Oven preheat time was lengthy. Receipt says he charged us for parts and replaced two control boards. THESE WERE NOT REPLACED.(2) 5/24: [When *** came back, we still thought he had replaced our control boards.] Our oven was showing an "ERR" error on oven, which would not heat. Said he needed to replace main dual control board - HE REWIRED EVERYTHING INCORRECTLY. He noticed he'd done something wrong - when you opened one door, the other side's light went on. Said he would fix it. I had to leave briefly and did not watch his work.He did not fix this, and in fact, the entire repair was incorrectly wired. When preheating, it would stay on "LO" and never change, but continue to get hotter and hotter. I tested with cinnamon rolls, which were black within 5 minutes. (Have photo if needed)We hired Blue Sky Appliance Company 6/13/24 to remedy ***'s work. They showed us the original parts still in the oven (photo included of old boards in oven), which they replaced, wired the oven correctly, and completed actual repair: another $1,195.45.I contacted Chicagoland Appliance Repair to be refunded for the work and parts, $830.66. (The remainder of what we paid is for a microwave he repaired properly.) I also said I wanted to interact with the company, NOT ***. The company does not respond, only directs *** to us. *** has said he will only refund $500 until we return his parts - which we never received. After having to pay a second company another $1,100 to undo his faulty and dangerous electrical work and paying for parts he did not provide us for, we want:- Full refund of $830.66 - Refund to come from company and to not interact with *** to have to create payment plans he has noted in his emails
