Mold Pro was hired to remove mold from the basement. Date of service was 9/20/22. I paid $1750 for the service. I am a 75 year old single lady, and may have *** taken advantage of. I had paid the invoice right away. I have photos, emails, and friend/witness regarding their work. I am still getting sick from the mold, and have been going to the doctor regularly for this. I cannot eat and am constipated. My friend *************************** also gets headaches and sinus issues when she comes over. The servicemen (2 young guys) were only there for a short time, and left without letting me know. I called ********************* (owner of the company) to see where they went, and he thought they went to lunch. Then, he called back and said they had left. I continued to feel sick from the mold, so I went down to check with *****, and there were spots that appeared to be uncovered or only lightly covered by the mold treatment. The basement was dusty and dirty. They had removed 12 large garbage bags of insulation, which was made of fiberglass. The light fixture in the basement also fell down and broke, with lots of broken glass, due to the servicemen not replacing the light fixture properly. *** refuses to return to my house to clean up the mess. *********************** (sister in law of the owner) came for a reinspection 10/10/22 after I repeatedly called the company. She told me and my friend ***** that some areas need to be redone and re-covered by mold treatment, and the crawl space needs to be cleaned up. However, *** replied on 10/12/22 that he would only redo spots that were missed, but they do not vacuum or sweep crawl floors. He also lied about the servicemen taking out the **** filter while they were there on 9/20/22. The **** filter was actually removed my me and my friend ***************************** on 9/19/22. I need Mold Pro to redo needed areas, and to clean up the mess in the basement and crawlspace as recommended by ***********************.Business response

After first being contacted by this person seven weeks ago, we at Mold Pro Chicago have engaged in 97 emails, over 240 texts (some days with over 10 texts being sent to us) and over 82 phone calls (many over one hour in length). The vast majority of these contacts were BEFORE it was even decided whether we would do mold remediation for this person. She originally called to ask our opinions about her disputes with her landlord and whether it could be mold that could be causing her health problems.
This person had asked us to not only call, email and text her landlord dozens more times than I mentioned above, but also to call, email and text her MD doctors, and people at the Chicago ***************** on her behalf. We estimate that we have helped this person with our time, energy, emotions and expertise over 100 man-hours! We allowed this because we at Mold Pro Chicago are caring people. I even found myself praying with her over the phone and in her home.
Since this person does not own the home, we had to negotiate with the landlord to put permission in writing, and that the tenant was paying us. We knew that this tenant was a very difficult person to work with, so we had her sign a document stating that all we could do was what was on the proposal, and that we could not stop her sicknesses. She also agreed to the proposal that she attached to her complaint, that clearly states, " Paid Balance at Completion Indicates Client Satisfaction of Job Done".
After all this, the tenant complained that we did not vacuum all debris that was originally in her crawl space on the floor. I did mention that those services are never on our mold remediation proposals. In any case, we offered to return to the home and cover any areas of her crawl space walls that did not have heavy coverage. When I called the tenant on the day of the return visit, the tenant proceeded to rant on how I was not a man of my word, that in fact I am a liar. This was the day we were heading there to make sure she was going to be happy! When she finished insulting me, I mentioned that she has manipulated us for seven weeks. When she heard that, she told me that I was probably the reason that my eldest son died five years ago from Fentanyl poisoning. I calmly said that our conversations and interactions were over, and that my technicians would not come to the home.

I am rejecting this response because:The reason I sent so many emails was that I did not know how to forward emails properly, and I am not good at computers (In fact, someone is helping me type this response). I also kept contacting the company because I was not getting a reply in a timely fashion.
There are areas with no or insufficient mold treatment; there are remaining fiberglass insulation with mold still hanging, and there is a lack of clean up.
I have to go down to the basement daily to do laundry, and I'm inhaling the fiberglass, dust, and debris when I go down there.
I need ******** to finish the job by cleaning up and retreating needed areas, as *********************** from ******** had recommended on her re-evaluation on 10/10/22.

I am rejecting this response because:
On 10/12/22, Mold Pro texted me that they will return to cover the missed spots. Then, on 10/17/22, Mold Pro texted they can come Wednesday. However, then on Wednesday 10/19/22, when I called him, he had insulted ME and called me an addict who is manipulative and cannot be trusted. I also did not say that he was the reason his son died. I texted him afterwards that he is an angry person who blames other people for things that happen. I have attached text screenshots.
I was asking them to clean up the mess they left behind, such as parts of moldy insulation hanging on ceiling and fallen on the floor.
The Mold Pro technicians did not even let me know when they left for the job. I had to call *** to find out that they had left.
I still would like Mold Pro to finish the job and treat the remaining spots as *********************** from Mold Pro had recommended. If Mold Pro refuses to return to finish the job, then I would like to have a 50% refund. However, I would much rather that they return to finish the job.
