On Friday 4/26, I went saw Dr ******************************* to have some teeth extracted and bone grafts done with sedation. This was at ******** Oral, Facial and *********************** I was given a bill with a copay of $1151 which was paid the day of surgery. I was called back by the nurse and asked to sit in the dental chair. The nurse then placed something in my mouth to hold it open so I was unable to talk. The dr came in and gave me an IV and started the sedation. The sedation did nothing I was awake and aware the whole time. He gave me ******** but not enough as I could feel him pulling my teeth out and stitching my gums. The only way I could communicate with him was by whining and moaning loudly when he pulled the teeth. Instead of stopping and evaluating if I needed more sedation or ********, he continued on and told me to save my whining for later. Almost immediately after surgery I was rushed to get up out of the chair and lay on a cot in the hallway, where I laid to rest about 5 minutes after surgery we were being rushed to leave with no home going instructions. I called the office later and spoke to the office manager who said she would address my concerns with *******************. ******************* called me and never apologized for what he put me through but did say he would have the office manager call me to issue a refund for the sedation. I spoke with the office manager Monday morning about the refund and she said I was not due a refund as promised by *******************. She said the sedation was taken off the bill but my copay did not change, even though the bill was less. I feel I am due a refund for the pain and suffering that ******************* put through. It does not make sense that if the bill was less, my copay remained the same. I feel like I was lied to and treated very poorly. The least they could do is try to make it right but theyve done nothing! Im absolutely furious with this Dr and the fact that he would treat a patient like this.
