On the day of the party,December 17,2022 at 3:11.I contacted the number for 8eleven to ask about access codes to the building.I was told that the daughter that was suppose to be there accidentally takenkey with her,so we would have to wait for someone to open the doors.was told someone would be there by 5:25.The person, was a nephew of the owner made it to the venue at 5:40-5:45.The caterer and photographer had arrived already by 5:30.The nephew tried to assist by helping with setting out the sweets for the sweet table.He also tried assisting my husband with thetechnology but he did not understand how to work the system so he had to call the owner to help him.By this time guests were arriving and they were still trying to get it to work.He stayed until 6:50working on the music and it still was not working.When my daughter arrived the music was not playing through the speakers, she had an entrance song that was not able to be played.I reached out via the number I had and I was instructed to plug and unplug speakers and update the app on iPad.From 6-9:20 the guest had no music.The owner's daughter came at 9:20,didnt speak or acknowledge the issue. She went directly to the iPad talking on the phone.When she couldnt fix it she said i did something wrong and would just have to use the tv.She left with no solution.We had to run home and get a speaker for music.Then when everyone was having a good time the same daughter came in at 11:11and in front of everyone, guests included, said that we had 15 mins to clean and leave.She was very rude.When I asked to speak with her mom who was out of the country, I was told I only had the space to 11:30,as well as it was my fault we didnt have music.When I expressed my unhappiness out loud the daughter began to kick us out and curse me out.The owner now has blocked me on socialmedia, refuses to communicate with me and wants to wait 14days to pay me my deposit.Also the owner has never apologized for dampening this special day for us.Business response

On Dec. 17,2022 I provided Mr./************ ******* through my business 8Eleven. The ******* consisted of event decor and rental. My event space is fully equipped with professional surround sound installation. On the evening of Dec.11,2022 I met with the Keys did a full walkthrough of the space and went over how to turn the **** on and operate the music. They agreed that ************ would be the one operating the music. Fast forward to event day. I have them extra time to enter at NO CHARGE. I told them someone will arrive early to allow them to enter so they would have time to place the food. It was a courtesy being their event was scheduled to start at 7pm. My partner arrived at 5:45pm and assisted them with the food set up being that it was only 5 pans of food that was going on top of 2 tables and sweets for the treat table that I had already personally set up. The music was always playing nothing was wrong with the music. I have live footage from my installed indoor cameras. After my partner finished with setting up the treat table ************ asked him could he assist him with playing a slideshow of his daughter from his personal cellphone. My partner tried to assist him but ************ stated the he was not Tech savvy and he couldnt remember his own password. My partner couldnt assist him with that being thats his personal cellphone and problem so he left. A few hours passed and the birthday girl arrived with ************ whom took it upon herself to try to go onto 8eleven system login to her own account to try and play the slideshow in which she cut the music that was playing. She got the slideshow to play on the ** but didnt know how to go back to the music. So she called me whom was out of the country. I explained she wasnt supposed to log out the system because I have the other IPad and it will need to be present to update so just play the music and nothing else. She tried to do an update and lock the system because the wrong password were entered. My daughter arrived and tried to override the system alert but it was then requiring a technician. In which I have to get a technician to come out to reset the entire system. ************* became very disrespectful cursing and making threats. Fast forward to her end time which was 11:30pm. My daughter arrived at 11:15pm to assist with clean up. Im order to receive deposits everything must be cleaned and you must be out by your end time. She began calling my daughter derogatory names because my daughter said the deposit would not be returned until I come back and check the space and in the contract that she signed it states 14 business days . Well ************* didnt like my daughter response and since that day she has been going on social media making post lying about her experience and how my business didnt respond to her when she was calling at 3:00am. I reached out to her but the disrespect was ridiculous so I blocked her. She was issued a full refund of her deposit which Ive attached proof. She was given well over $1500 In merchandise for free for her event and is still unappreciative. I apologized to her. Shes making all these fake claims to try to tear down my business and its not acceptable.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: The setup time was for 5:30pm. Which was spoke verbally and through email. My daughter's name was spelled incorrectly, even though it was confirmed through email. I ask and was told that every thing was being supplied in the package. Which says that everything was paid for and NOT GIVEN FOR FREE. Also we were kicked out before our time which was suppose to be 12am. This is provided in my evidence. If my party was suppose to start at 7pm, then the allotted 6hr, the party would end at 1am. Which still says we didn't get the full 6 hours. Plus the way my guest and I was treated, spoken too and kick out was not professional. Plus our guest still didn't get music for over 3 hours. I have never received am apology for how my daughter, guest or I was treated. 8eleven entire statement is untrue. Also after putting in this complaint I have been harrassed by the owners daughters. One being the one who cursed me out and the other being the 14 year who was my only form of communication.

As I have stated previously per Mr./ ***************** verbal agreement just days prior to her event we agreed on the start and end time. I was told by Mr./***************** that because the child was turning 16 years they didn't want to end at midnight they would end at 11:30pm. Which is why the attendant are sent in to help clean 15 minutes prior to closing. Per our packages that are listed on the website it didn't included Chiavari Chairs, Luxury Centerpieces, Full Room Drapery,Charger Plates, Dinnerware, 6ft. Wood LED Numbers, Sweet table platters, full room lighting with uprights and 5 piece cylinder sets. I did that from the kindness of my heart for FREE. She expressed to me how her daughter never had a party and she was the only child and couldn't afford much so I made her event special trying to do a good deed. After ***************** became intoxicated she began her rant. I refunded her the deposit in the amount of $250. I don't feel I owe her anything else. The negative comments and ******** post is what got her blocked on all social media sites. She threatened me over the phone that she would try to destroy my business reputation. Ive been in business almost 3 years and have never received a negative complaint.This woman is clearly just trying to spread false statements about my business, my partners and myself. Now she lying like my child is harassing her. At this point she is harassing us all. She's gotten her money back so why keep making false claims to try to tear down my business. I will allow her lies and defamation to keep me from doing good deeds for my future clients. It's just a ****** learned. I hope she gets the healing that she needs.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: As I previously stated and showed evidence that the time of the party was set at 6pm to 11:30 pm, the set up was for 5:30pm. My understand through email said we would have the building until 12am. The party would end at 11:30pm and clean up would be from 11:30pm to 12am. When asked if plates and everything else needed included it was answered via email that everything was included. I ASSUMED NOTHING WAS FREE. The heart of the matter is the doors weren't open when we were told they would be opened. We didn't have assistance with music. And the owners daughter did not come to help clean, she was nasty and rude, she cursed me and my guest out and we WERE NOT given any the full time to clean up.

So now the new accusations is my daughter cursed your guest out. *** watched the tape and not one time did she address any of your guest. I also reviewed the tape of my conversation with you and your husband and again I clearly stated I was adding those props and and everything I previously stated for FREE. You have received your security deposit back. There is absolutely nothing else that will be issued to you. The accusations are absurd and absolutely nothing you have claimed have been accurate. When you and your daughter finally arrived to her party the music was playing. She came in dancing to the music its on camera. You all were in total Aw from the excitement on everyone face. You stated how gorgeous everything was. Now youre trying to tell lies make fake complaints and post negative reviews on every platform because of what. You will not be compensated. Im not about to contort his throughout the entire year because youre trying to prove a point.
