Paid in full for a 40 high cube WWT container on July 20, 2024. Was told 7-10 business days for delivery. Today is business day 16. 3 different delivery dates provided, each one canceled day of. Thats three days of work missed to be there for a delivery that did not come. Sales person basically ignoring me now. Have yet to receive next supposed delivery date, or even a delivery date window.

Ordered a container from this company and paid extra for shipping. I was told 7 days for shipping. It is now 3 weeks and I have not received the container. I have attached multiple screenshots of the email correspondence in which they want another ******* to deliver. This is not part of the contract so they must deliver or send back the money. If this is a scam it needs to be alerted to the authorities.

Hello, this is a fraudulent company that has been pretending to be our company (Call-ONeill Containers LLC dba MobileMod) for the past 6 months. I'd recommend reporting this company to the authorities and asking your bank to reach out to their bank (PNC Maryland) to escalate the issue and close their bank account.

When the container was delivered the driver ripped my companies entire gate out of the ground. I spent a few thousand dollars repairing it right away since my construction yard obviolsly needs to be secured from the street. So this is the first few thousand dallars of damage done on this delivery. Factually, this container is at best scrap metal. It was clearly dropped or another container dropped on it. The **** has a 6ft plus very weak square welded patch. It was patched to cover for this huge accident. 1/3 of the containers sheet metal is welded back on to cover up various accidents. There are inumerous leaky welded patches outside of the massive ones. There are holes in the walls are were a fork lift repeatly punched through it. The container roof bows down dramatically and 'holds" inches of water on top, the water actually leaks through the welds. The floor was replaced in various areas and has major holes were humidity and air weep in. The conatiner is way out of square because of the massive roof damage. The doors do not close properly nor will they ever. The frame is bent and large amounts of rain and humidity freely flow in. The doors were poorly caulked at one point which only made the matter worse. My company was robbed in this case and extra damage was done at delivery! There is know way the installer who recieved the shipment could have seen all this damage. They would have needed to carry out a thorough inspection with lights, two people, ladders, water and air test. And even then it would not been totally apparent until the first rain. This shoddy patching and etc was a cover up, like two bad cars pieced together as one. Furthermore, this was supposed to pass a MobileMod inspection which it clearly didnt and wouldnt pass. I am positive in a civil suit case, Mobile mod cannot justify dropping this totaled container, and refusing to refund or pick up. I have waited and been patient enough on this.

      Dear ****************,

Delivery was on 1/27/23, and you issued a chargeback on 2/3/2023. We attempted to resolve the situation, but you refused to accept any resolution. We have considered this case closed since the chargeback was never reversed. Attached is the proof of delivery that was signed stating that you accepted the container in the condition that it was delivered.

I am rejecting this response because:

At no point in time did myself or my company receive a call, or email involving a solution.  If so please provide any evidence that Mobile mod reached out to us.

I did not sign for this container.  The signature was a laborer who is not authorized to legally represent me.   Furthermore, ***** and structural issues are bot immediately apparent upon deliver.

There are lemon laws for a reason. Own up to the fact you sold a at best scrapped container and then ignored the entire situation.

Did i sign, that your delivery driver could do $5000 in damage to our company gate, by ripping it out of the ground during delivery?

      Sincerely,

      *******************

      Business response

      08/18/2023

      ****************,

The issue is the chargeback. We delivered on 1/27/23 and received a notification of the chargeback on 2/3/2023. We tried resolving the issue, and you refused our proposed solutions multiple times. Communication of delivery and available records on 1/27/2023 state that you were communicated with via phone about a delivery, which you agreed to via phone.

When it comes to property damage, this is the first time we have heard about it. It has been five and a half months since delivery. I am noting that it was not brought in when you filed the initial claim on 5/23/2023. Since a third-party carrier delivered it, you would need to file a claim directly with their insurance company. MobileMod is not responsible for property damage.

As stated in the previous response, we consider this case closed due to the chargeback never being reversed.

I purchased a storage container from this company under the impression that it would be in working order wheter the unit was new or used. when the storage container was delivered the one of the doors were not latched becasuse the door does not shut all the way. I pointed that out to the deliver driver immediately and all he was concerned with was me signing the paper work which i did not do. i have contacted the compay Mobile mod many times the contact person i have been dealing with has not returned my email in 20 days. i think they are ignoring me now. They did offer me a $100 refund but i paid $3012.59 for this to be working properly and it will cost me almost $500 to have a welder fix this problem. I feel like they should either replace the unit with a unit that is in working order or reimburse me for the $500 i will have to pay the welder to fix the locking mechanism. The contact i have been dealing with is below:*********************** Customer Success Representative MobileMod **************************************************************************** Office: ***************** Direct: ***************** E-mail: ********************************* Website: www.mobilemod.com as you can see from the attached pictures the gap beside the flat head s**** driver blade proves this has been damaged/bent or dropped something has happed to keep this door from shutting and locking completly.Thank you very much

      ******************,

We apologize for the inconvenience. We do have a process to handle these issues for used containers. A few factors will cause problems once delivered, and one of them is placing the container on the ground causing the container to pinch the doors. We recommend trying lithium lubricant, which our claims team can send you. I understand that we have offered $350 to be refunded and cover the cost of a contractor to fix the latch if necessary. We look forward to your response.

I was misled through the whole procedure for one the sales rep told me it would be fast and easy delivery which the representative sent me an email saying 7 to 14 days is 2 to 3 weeks thats incorrect. Secondly, they told me the container would be no more than 7 to 10 years old, its was a ****. Thirdly, seals on the door were cracked, and someone glued pieces of rubber in the seals, which when I open the door they fell out , and thirdly, when I did open the door , there were 5 holes in the roof of the container, and then the delivery driver and Mobile Mods refused to pay his delivery fee for returning the container, so eagle logistics has now dropped any business with Mobile Mods because of this Im just looking for a total refund Very disappointed and very misled.

      Dear ****************,

We are sorry for the misinformation that our sales rep gave you. We have addressed it with them and corrected the course, as we do not promise manufacturing or delivery dates. We guarantee that the container is in wind and water-tight condition. The container that showed up was not inspected by the driver correctly. We have addressed this with our partner carrier as well. Our accounting department has issued a full refund due to the issue, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We appreciate your submission and want to ensure this does not happen again.

I purchased a shipping container from MobileMod on Wednesday 1/4 and was then contacted on Friday 1/6 by MobileMod asking for the details of how the container was to be delivered. I replied on 1/6 with the details. On Saturday 1/7 I realized that I was not ready for the container and that it would be another 3-4 months before I would be ready for it. I then called MobileMod on Monday 1/9 to cancel the order. The customer service representative would not issue the refund and said that someone from management would have to do that. I then asked to speak with someone in management in which I was denied as was told I would be contacted. I never was. The next day on Tuesday 1/10 I received an email confirmation of MobileMod receiving my delivery instructions and that a truck was going to be scheduled. I then replied to the email informing them that I had called to cancel the order the day prior and that I wanted a full refund. I was then notified by ******* that here will be a $50 restocking fee and a $66.** credit card fee. I asked why I am being charged these fees when you haven't even scheduled a truck? What is there to even restock? Then and I was told it was in the Terms and Conditions. I asked ******* when was I sent these Terms and Conditions? He then replied "in the original email sent 5 days ago." I replied that it was not in the email chain I had and ask that it be sent to me. ******* then sent me the same email chain and I informed him that the only thing I was sent was the delivery requirements. They then emailed me the terms and conditions after I proved they were never sent . I then replied with, "When was I sent these terms and conditions as this is the first time I am seeing this?" ******* then replied that I needed to reach out to sales rep. ** order for Terms and Conditions to be legally binding they have to be supplied BEFORE an order is placed. ** their T&C they do not state any requirements to cancel and order and I have yet to receive a refund.

      ************,

Upon purchasing you have to agree to the terms & conditions before allowing you to purchase. A link can be found in the confirmation email send to you after purchasing as well. In section II of the terms and conditions labeled 'Time and Terms of Delivery' it states the following "If the container is unable to deliver due to Customer negligence, the Customer shall pay to the Company, upon demand, a $50 restocking fee per unit and pay Company for any other actual costs incurred by the Company." The costs that MobileMod incurs includes the $66.93 credit card fee  for which you, as the customer, would be responsible. It costs money to harbor containers at container depots along with what is called a lift fee to dig out and load your container onto specialized delivery equipment.

We have refunded the amount of $2,975.22 which is the purchase amount, minus the credit card fees only as per the agreed upon terms prior to purchasing.

I was charged ************** taxes which means that my purchase was made in **; therefore this transaction is bound by ** laws. ** General Statute ****** requires that Terms and Conditions be "provide, send, or deliver information in writing to another person." I understand that I had to agree to the terms and conditions at the time of the transaction but I cannot abide by such a contact (terms and conditions) if I am not provided a copy of such contract in which to adhere. I will repeat my initial question, show me the proof that the terms and conditions were provided to me in writing at the time of the transaction as required by ** GS ******.

The email chain that I initially provided shows that these terms and conditions were not provided at the time of the transaction.

      ************,

I have attached the terms and conditions that you agreed to upon purchase for your reference. Here is a link to our warranty that is posted on our website: ********************************************. We are willing to waive the restocking fee and withhold the credit card fees of $66.93 only and not the restocking fee as per company policy.

      We will await your response.

      Customer response

      02/11/2023

I once again state: ** General Statute ****** requires that Terms and Conditions be "provide, send, or deliver information in writing to another person." I will state my request a 3rd time: produce where these terms and conditions were sent to me in writing as required by ********** Statute ****** at the time of the transaction. if this can be shown then I will resend this case.

If I apply for a loan, I have to agree to the terms and conditions of the loan, but by ********** Statute ****** I am also provided a copy of the terms and conditions so that I can abide by these such terms and conditions. When my credit card company updates the terms and conditions of their contract, by ********** Statute ******, they are required to send me in writing these updated terms and conditions and they do so by email and standard mail so that i can abide by these such terms and conditions.

Mobilemod's terms and conditions were never sent to me at the time of the transaction as once again required by ********** Statute ****** and therefore are in violation of ** Contract Law rendering any such terms and conditions null and void.

I am demanding a full and total refund by ** Contract Law.

When I purchased my 20 container it showed up with water already inside the container. I expressed my concerns to the driver which did not care at all and quickly told me it happens all the time because he was running 70 mph on the interstate for 5 hours. At that time I could not tell where or how the water had entered. He promised it was from the doors because they were facing his truck. The had me sign a hand written in black sharpie piece of paper that stated I approved the placement of the container on my lot. That was all he presented me with. He then left, not before driving thru my flower bed and yard on his way out and leaving massive ruts in both. Im the next few days when got some rain. I went back out to the container to see if any had made it into the container. To my disappointment the floor was cover with water. It was dripping from the ceiling in numerous places. I immediately called and submitted a claim. Which I can tell you does absolutely no good. Ive read all the other complaints on the BBB site and they follow the same procedure that they have and continue to put me through. I have over 20 correspondence with my claims agent and *** sent close to 100 photos. Ive jumped through ever hoop theyve asked me to. Her last few emails stated that her upper management was reviewing the claim. Now she *********** not respond to any of my emails. My sales agent that sold me the container keeps repeating herself every time as well telling me she is going to send this to her manager over and over again. I can not use this container at all. The floors are so soft and spongy and stink of rot and mold.I can not put anything inside my container at all. Any cardboard or wood will begin to develop mold and mildew and any metal or steel tool will begin to rust. A complete waste of my money and all the time *** spent trying to get them to do whats right. I also have holes in my weather stripping at the bottom of the doors, letting mice inside

      *****,

As we have relayed via our customer service team, we are still awaiting input from you regarding the source of the moisture. The evidence sent previously indicates that the moisture is from condensation on the container ceiling, which is common in containers. Can you please submit new pictures indicating where the holes are located so that we can determine the appropriate resolution?

Please email your supporting documents to the claims team in the email thread where they directly requested these documents.

I am rejecting this response because:

I have provided more than sufficient evidence of the leaks in the roof. I am not a leak detection specialist, nor should I have to be.
You sold me a wind and waters tight container. That is definitely not what you dropped off at my house. Another huge issue that you refuse to address is the broken weather gaskets that allow small rodents into the container and the ROTTING FLOORS that are soft and spongy and stink of mold and wood rot.
Please do the right thing and refund my money or replace my container with a wind and water tight container.
This has been going on now for 3 months. Over 20 something emails and almost 80 photographs. Ive read your terms and conditions and I am to the point that I feel I must take you to court. I have grown tired of your vague and  redundant responses about how this whole situation is MY FAULT and how Im not giving you the evidence you need. *** submitted all my correspondence and all my photos for everyone to see. Dear ****************,

We received your pictures and reviewed your situation with the claims team. Your roof does not appear to have holes but is due to condensation. This is most commonly found in humid habitats, like where you live. We would like to propose having our claims team contact you to present solutions to reduce the humidity, as it has been successful for others in the past. We would also like to offer you a $150 refund for the inconvenience and cover the needed supplies and materials.

      Complaint: 18656118

I am rejecting this response because: for several reasons. The container LEAKS, you refuse to address the rotten floors and mold. You also refuse to address the holes in the weather stripping.
I have numerous problems with my container, yet you want to give me a measly $150 to replace my over $3,000 investment.
I am a local home builder with a business that has done very well for over 20 years in the town I live in.
So PLEASE do not attempt to teach me about condensation. The ambient temp in my container has not fluctuated enough against the outside temperature to cause any condensation at the time the 80 something photographs were taken.
As stated in my previous email, you sell a product, sight unseen to trusting customers, then you drag them through this process in hopes of them just giving up. There are too many complaints on the BBB website that match my complaint exactly. There is clearly a pattern and you are still in business. I intend on taking you to court, because you refuse to fix the problems w my container.

Purchased a 20ft container in November 2022 which got delivered on 11/28/22. Mobilemod offers a 30-day money-back guarantee and a 5 years wind and water-tight unit. According to them, every unit gets inspected and certified before going out to clients. When my unit got delivered it was not raining and it looked good to me. However, I'm not an expert in inspecting containers so I don't know what to look for as far as problems. I trusted that they would deliver a good unit. That said 2 days later, December 1st to be exact, it was raining. I went inside my unit and noticed water all around the doors. This is when I noticed my unit was not wind or watertight as advertised. I contacted mobilemod right away on December the 2nd, with multiple emails after that. I requested a solution to my problem. My request was to have my unit repaired, replaced, or send a full refund to honor their 30-day money-back guaranteed or their 5 years wind and watertight warranty. On December 27/22 they offered a $150 refund which is not acceptable as this won't fix my problem. I have declined this offer and have requested they honor their warranty or money back guaranteed. They won't do this, so now I'm forced to file a complaint and find other ways for mobilemod to honor their guarantee.I trusted this company and paid for a unit. This was a mistake! They need to stand behind their products and promises.

      Business response

      12/30/2022

      Hello ****,

Your container passed 3 inspections in advance of completing the delivery. These include (i) an inspection by the depot when the container arrived into our inventory; (b) an inspection by the carrier upon picking up the container; and (c) an inspection by you at the point of delivery. All three inspections passed the wind-and-watertight criteria. The pictures you provided appear to show some moisture accumulation along the door seals, which may have transferred to the entryway. This does not indicate a wind-and-watertight issue. Nonetheless, we are happy to find a workable solution so that you will be satisfied with your purchase. We can send a set of brand new door seals, which will bring the doors to like-new status. Please let us know if you would like to proceed.

      Complaint: 18647695

I am rejecting this response because:

I don't know how to install these seals. Would you "Mobilemod" be sending someone to do the installation? I also requested my money back as you guys have a 30 days money back guaranteed. I have sent a bunch of emails that took very long for your "Mobilemod" representative  to reply, including my request for a refund which was withing the 30 days! See the attached copy of that email. I have yet to get a reply about a refund.

Your are 100% right I inspected the container upon delivery. However, my inspection doesn't count as I'm no expert in containers as you can see it looked good to me but it wasn't raining when I looked at the container, 2 days later it rained and it leaked. My inspection failed miserably! What looked good to me which this is the 1st container I have ever inspected in my life won't be the same to a pro inspector that does this for a living and inspects who knows how many containers per day. So please don't include my said inspection, it is obvious I didn't do a good job.

I contacted you guys right away about this problem and I have not gotten a solution. May I ask why? with your warranty which is 5 years wind and water tight, also 30 days money back guaranteed?(see attached email) I was not offered a replacement, a repair, or my money back? All I want is to get what I paid for and to honor your warranty nothing more, nothing less. If you can't do this please send a refund so that I can move on and purchase another unit from another vendor. You can also keep my business and do the right thing which is fix this unit I would be ok with that or send a replacement. I'm not being unreasonable! Do the right thing why is this so hard for you to do?

I am rejecting this response because:

As previously stated I requested a full refund in time. I would like to move on from this. I'm willing to accept you guys sending new seals and you send someone to install them. I don't know how to install the seals, watching a video won't make me a pro and I want to make sure it gets done properly!

You guys are the experts not me, If you are willing to send and pay for someone to replace the seals I will be ok with that. Please let me know.

      Sincerely,
