  I was not impressed with this moving company at all.They were not professional and did not keep me informed on the status of my move from ** to Fla. I was given misinformation about the whereabouts of my possessions and my calls went unanswered for days. My stuff was delivered by a U-Haul truck, not the original truck from ** and the driver charged me an additional $400.00 to rent the uhaul! To make matters even worse, my dishes, planters, glassware, picture frames, paintings, expensive furniture all arrived damaged. Family heirlooms were destroyed and their compensation to me was a disgraceful $100.00 I definitely would NOT recommend them to anyone and would positively call another moving service if I had to make another move.

  Avoid at all costs! Unethical. Just as everyone has stayed, they are extremely friendly and competent up front, then everything goes downhill from there. A sketchy, rusting truck showed up to pick our things up and then proceeded to charge us an extra $1,000. We had no idea where our belongings were for two weeks. When the truck finally arrived late one evening, they informed us they would only take cash or money orders. It was a mad scramble. Weve never had such a terrible, stressful and expensive move with such an unprofessional company. Use anyone but Safeway!

  *****, I wish I'd read these reviews beforehand. Please please listen to these reviews - these guys are deceptive, lying manipulators (sorry, but that's the bottom line truth). Whatever they say is the estimate, it will be MORE! They say it's "binding" but then they say there's lots of fine print that you are to blame for not reading and it turns out that "binding" actually doesn't mean "binding" at all, they will upcharge you left and right.. Also, they will not answer their phone once they've got you hooked (screwed).I saw a review site that ranked them high - I now believe Safeway probably made that site or paid for it. Not uncommon for sneaky businesses to pose as objective review sites - check the better business bureau, no lies there, lots of complaints.

  I used this company to move my belongings from ******** to ********. It has been more than **************************************** ** warehouse. I have texted, called and emailed to them many times, each time they either cut me off, immediately transferred me to another line, or gave me misinformation. I was told again and again that my belongings was uploaded into a trailer and the dispatcher was leaving next day or had left a few minutes ago. Now I received email that they are waiting to assign me a driver. I am very frustrated. I can't trust them anymore as their words contradict to each other. In addition, I noticed that the BBB profile for this company has an alert. I am quite concerned and wondering when I am going to get my belongings, or whether I am going to receive my belongings at all.

  I cant imagine how a moving company could be more dishonest and incompetent than Safeway. They give a low initial estimate then jack up the price when they pack you up. They are evasive when asked about the delivery schedule. They send 2 people to unload the truck when there should be at least 4. (We had to help unload he truck.). Their movers dump your stuff, then leave; nothing unpacked or assembled. Then, after the move in, the company lies to you about what you were told and what you were promised. They work with an insurance company that lowballs reimbursement for the many damaged and lost items. They call it a white glove move. Thats accurate in a way. The white gloves keep their fingerprints off the whole sordid affair.

  DO NOT BOOK WITH SAFEWAY.This was absolutely the worstmoving company I haveever dealt with. This is "stress-free" process you will get booking with Safeway:- You will first speak with one of their agents whowill tell you the company takes pride in customer service and making your move stress-free.- This person will tell you they will be your point of contact throughout your entire move. After this initial phone call, where they will get you to pay them the 'deposit' which is 1/3 of the estimate, you will never be able to contact this person again, or hear from the company when they promised to be in touch with you about critical aspects of your move. Anytime you need information or have a question, you will have to call their customer service lines multiple times before you finally speak to someone. You will receive contradicting information.- The quote they give you will also be grossly under what the actual amount will be. I have a very small one bedroom, and the agent's quote was so off my price grew 150% once the moving company actually put my things on the truck.- They will promise you that your move is "ideal" and a "straightline' move - which means I should get my things the same day/ latest the next day. I was only told differently when they actual movers arrived. I had to scramble to book a hotel room last minute, that was an expense I was not prepared for.The movers told me I could do a straight linemove for an additional $2500.- I also had a serious issue where I was concerned I was getting my money stolen by one of their movers, and after frantically calling their customer service line 3 times, and no one calling me back, I finally spoke with a flippant agent who blew off my concerns.Please do not book with this SHADY company!

  Beware of this company! No one has had a good experience with them and they continually change addresses so the BBB renews their entry. Not only did I pay 3K more than they quoted me but they also scammed me out of ****** to get my furniture off the truck saying it had to be relocated to a U-HAUL. Funny that they pulled up in a semi that was clearly not U-HAUL. They hire criminals to do the actual work and when you have a complaint, they are nowhere to be found. They had the nerve to offer me my ****** back if I removed my negative reviews! Nope. I think it is worth it to warn others to stay away from these crooks.

  *** BUYER BEWARE ***This is not a moving company Think twice before using Safeway Relocation.. They are a reseller NOT NOT a moving company.. they are NOT upfront w their Estimates Their estimates are only estimates they are not by any means a true quote nor a valid agreement. 2 days before your move they send an email saying.. oh by the way we arent going to help you with your inventory of whats going to moved .. the original price not not a true price remember only rough rough estimate .. the email will say hey if you forget lamps, outside furniture, grills you will be charged a lot more!! Now your stuck ur move date is set and to cancel at the last minute ur screwed bcuz they will keep ur **** deposit.. then the movers come and they WILL slap additional large amount and they know ur hooked - ITS a bait and switch **** to move a 2 bedroom apt and 3.5 hours away - I will report to BBB and have them investigate.   Scam, Scam, Scam. The first half of the process was a breeze and once they get their payment, they could careless. Not only was my delivery delayed, I was charged a surprise $500 the morning of the delivery and was told if I didn't pay it, my stuff wouldn't be delivered. The items that finally arrived had little to no value, everything with value (guitar, tv, etc) was missing and now I have to 'file a claim'. Shame on you for your lack of assistance after accepting my business and payment. STAY AWAY
