***************** CA Honestly, I feel the staff here and ELS are taking advantage of the elders here, either corporate is turning a blind eye or they don't care what we want Residents favorite saying:They won't do anything. They don't care. Why bother?People are bothered by how a staff member seems to capitalize on the resident who pass away, buying homes, cars, and carts. I regret buying here, I have been here for 3 months, the first day we were moving furniture in a guy walked up and was telling me how the managers are bi--h-s, they don't do anything, Once we were in we started to dig a trench for a fence, later a knock on our door the mail woman started telling us we couldn't put our fence where it was going she would have to hit the fence she showed us how she needs to drive up to the mailbox she proceeds to drive her ******* on to the brick-lined on my property, drives over neighbors brick so she doesn't have to get out. I went and *** was in, I asked her "Since when does the Mail Person get to tell us what to do on our property?" I tell what her what occurred *** says "Well they aren't required to get out of their vehicles when I called the post office that is what they said. I said, "They don't have the right to run over our fences, flowers, and yard and how does she deliver the mail to you?" *** said "Well if she hits it you will have to take it up with the post office" I went home and looked up *********************** Mailbox YES, they are not required to get out due to no sidewalks, however, the mailboxes are not placed to code they sit too far back from the street it is the ************************ problem. The pool water is hotter than my shower water in the winter & the hot tub is cold it has been like this too often and weeks at a time and currently messed up it's only ?? degrees out. No one has responded to my emails or messages, I talk to the answering service more than the girls. I want their jobs I would do better. Alot of under 55 people here.

Diamond caverns resort and golf in ********************* ran by Thousand Trails IS Not kid friendly and will ask you to move the pace when you have kids we were trying to teach to play golf. We 3 kids total plus two adult golfers and the expect us to be done in an hour and a half. The guy at the front desk told us to check out teenage girls on the course which is disgusting. We will not be back and the course is not kept up good at all. Will not be back!!

I was employed by ELS as an Activities Assistant in ***************. My job was pretty simple, engage with the residents, make flyers, sell tickets and help with creating/running events. And that is what I did. Our "new" property manager, after he finally got his feet wet decided he was going to target me. He had created a hostile work environment, harassed me, isolated what my job duties were so I couldn't talk to residents anymore. Lectured and threatened me for 92 min, when I defended myself, every time he told me to "Be quiet sit there and just listen, your opinion doesn't matter." This is also is same guy who would just leave the property for hours on end, and not tell anyone. He ghosted appointments, would come into work "tweaked out" and would come back hours later calmer. He was rude towards residents, he would walk away if they were upset and mad. Any managerial jobs that he had, he pawned off onto everyone else. If you didn't say "How high" when he said jump you were on his retaliation list. He still had the hotel industry mentality, but this is a retirement community.I finally walked out, the job that I loved I had to walk out. Because he moved AND disassembled my computer I wasn't able to log my hours. So the day I walked out, he never reported my hours from the week before or even the current week. My paycheck came in and I was only paid out for my vacation time!Trying to get answers on how and when I'm getting my final paycheck has been a challenge in itself.I once had so much pride and loved coming to my job. Now hearing the companies name leaves a VERY bad taste in my mouth. So since upper management ceases to give me vital answers, here I am.

We have had a zone pass for 10 years and generally go to the same campground in ************. Each year it has been obvious that Thousand Trails corporate puts back as little as possible into maintaining the campground. Every year more and more of the ** sites are out of service either because of no water or electric and nothing is done to repair them. What are they doing with all the yearly maintenance fees they get? They should be ashamed of themselves. This will be our last year.

I have lived at *********** at ********** for one year. I was told the lot rental over $1,000. but since I was fleeing Hurricane *** in **********, Fl I hoped I could manage the Rental on my SS check. In the past year I have met my commitment. I am disappointed in the *** management of my rental payments. Unkept promises of roads paved, lighting of roads, pool upkeep maintenance (black mold on bottom of pool, ring of filth stained the sides of the pool, hot tub conditions, etc). There has been a hole in middle of my street with cones for 3 months. We get a newsletter noting closure of clubhouse (new flooring?) closure pool because cant use restrooms while work on flooring. So far no trucks or workmen have shown up. Newsletter says hamburgers/hot dogs July 4. Communication is key in running this community.*** sadly lacking in communication.

After purchasing a membership and never able to use it I called to cancel. I spoke to a nice lady who said she would "take care of it". Fast forward to nearly a year later and I receive a statement in the mail for $1632. I called back and explained, then was handed off to a rude lady who basically told me she couldn't cancel until the past due balance was paid. This is the biggest scam and poor business practice. I would have happily gotten another membership once my wife and I have the flexibility to use it but after being treated in this manner I would never consider Thousand Trails again. Now seeking legal assistance.

I do not give them any stars at all. ELP has unqualified and nonprofessional persons running ***** ***** and lots of other properties. I have been here for 6 years and am being kicked out because they had a problem with my son's truck. They sent me an eviction notice and I took them to court and won because I have broken no rules. I am 79 years old and was told that as long as I was out of the camp grounds for 2 week per year I could spend the rest of my time there. i worked for 40 years to have a place at the beach. I have a home with my sister in ****** when I am not at ***** *****. there was nothing in the lease that said they could demand proof of ownership outside the park. My sister came and testified in court that I live with her. They would not accept that and even though they had to honor my lease until March 31, ****, they would not give me a new lease and now I have to sell my place that I love or move it. It is a custom-built mobile home and everything that they required of me cost me all my savings. I am trying to sell but with inflation and tons of properties for sell here, I think I am going to have to move it. ELP does not have any concern for the people who pay their salaries. *********************** treats us like title 8 people. She is rude and disrespectful and lies about things that never happened. I am going to *** her for defamation of character because she told the court that I assaulted her and she had to call the sheriff. That never happened. I just want people to be aware of what they are getting into when they get property at ***** *****. Do Not Do It!

I have been a Snowbird for 4 yrs at ************ Park and Golf in Fla. A new manger was brought in last year to clean up park. I agree many RV and Park Models needed to be taken down and moved out. I blame past management for not doing their job.Current management is not over seeing important issues such as making sure propane is refilled before needed so that laundry and pool are in working order. Also trash is not picked up often enough. Not unusual to have trash bags on top and laying in front of bins. The trash dumpsters are next to residential homes. I mean right next to homes. They need to be relocated to an area in the back of the park. Not around people. The sell is horrible. I see it as a safety and health concern. Plus disrespectful to campers. Upper management needs to come to park and see for themselves what is happening.

Re: Shangri La MHP A SENIOR COMMUNITY Dont know who put this new manager ******************* here, but since shes been here shes turned our wonderful park into an uproar since day one. Shes threatened to have people evicted if they dont do what she wants when she wants. We are a mostly senior resident park, a lot of us are disabled but she doesnt care. We have residents here that are in their 90s. But she still expects them to comply. She doesnt answer phone calls or emails. She was supposed to video with me & when she finally logged on she was eating popcorn & continued to chew while talking then dumped the rest of the bag into her mouth. Then low & behold we got disconnected that was over a week ago, I still havent heard back from her. But frankly now I dont want to. Shes been making people jump thru hoops to get things done that she says are wrong with our homes , but not doing anything to fix what is wrong with our streets & other things here. Shes removing everything that shows the history of our beloved park, photo albums, shuffle board *************** Wants to remove all books saying the clubhouse isnt a library, took away the poker table that residents paid for. There are residents that play a marbles game on Wednesday mornings, their 2small card tables cant be left folded on the stage or anywhere in the clubhouse. My friend just had surgery on her foot, had a cast on for a month & still has a ************ on her foot. She just lost her ************ mother lives with her & is also disabled, they have a ramp on their house & use mobility scooters to get to the front door. ***** told her she cant have the scooters on the porch. She keeps telling us go look at Hillcrest MHP & see the improvement she made there, how do we know what was done or how it looked before. Anytime anyone does get to talk to her shes very rude & dissmissive. She only wants to talk about how great she is . To me & other residents its like shes only trying to pad her resume.
