We used this site extensively in 2020 to relocate to ********************, a *************** community with almost ****** homes. The community is just what 55places describes in terms of amenities, homes for sale, etc. It's a great place to live. HOWEVER, our experience building a house with Pulte has been a nightmare, and most of our neighbors are in some form of battle with Pulte as well. When I tried to put a current review to reflect our experience (the SAME 26 reviews are on the site that were there in 2020. The most recent one is from 2013!), I found there was NO WAY to post a new review. I thought there was a mistake. After a month of going back and forth with 55places to get the word out, I was told my review had to be approved by the Sales Team, and they were backlogged. I was in the back of a very long list of other reviews which have never made it onto the site. All of this to say, if you are using 55places to locate the places you are considering to retire, it is helpful. Use it to give you the information you need to visit these places and figure out your next move. Look at the houses for sale. THE REVIEWS are not a reflection of what's going on. Visit the sites, talk to homeowners, but know 55places.com has a vested interest in keeping the truth about what is happening with new builds, and anything which challenges the truth shall not be put on the site. Shame on them.
