              I contacted Jack Lekarczyk of J.L. Contractor Services to install new cement front stairs at my home. Two workers completed the work during July 29-30. After observing the finished work I noticed that the brick sidewalls on either side of the cement stairs were damaged by their construction, that being numerous loose cracked bricks and surrounding mortar, including numerous drilled holes into the decorative face brick that comprises these walls. I also noticed that a flower bed adjoining my walkway leading to the front stairs had been trampled by workers foot traffic, damaging/killing numerous plantings. I contacted Mr. Lekarczyk on July 31 and he stated that his workers caused said damage during the demolition process, but he was not responsible for the damage caused by their work. He said he could repair said damage to the bricks, but would charge me $450. He did not comment on the damage to plants in the flower bed. I want $700 deducted to be from my bill to compensate all damage.
