    I had contracted to rent a hotel room through VacayHome Connect and was scheduled to pay them via a debit card a couple of days prior to my check in. I asked them to use a different credit card (Discover Card) and they subsquently charged my stay on the card on June 20th. Had no issues with check-in and I gave the on-site resort folks my debit card ****** for any incidentals. Or so I thought, after checking out I received a charge on my debit card for the same stay and amount of money I paid VacayHome Connect. I contacted the folks at VacayHome and told them what had happend and that I'd like for someone to credit the double billing. They said they would contact the on-site people at the hotel and get it taken care of. Went through the July 4th holiday with no contact so I reached out to them today and was told it was now up to the on-site team to address. I spoke to the ** of the hotel (****************) this afternoon and he told me that that I was listed as a walk in client and they had not been contacted by VacayHome and did not set the reservation up through an existing owner as is the usual process. I called once again to VacayHome to see if i could get the name of the owner of the room that I had rented for my stay and have yet to receive a return call. I feel I'm being scammed and need to get this resolved as I have been double charged over $1400. I am ready to call my credit card company and tell them that this charge from VacayHome is fraudulent as I don't think they have been forthright in dealing with the resort. The **'s name at the resort is ******************************* and I have know him to be honest and trustworthy in my previous dealings as I used to work for the same compnay a number of years again. I would just like to be credited back the double charge that I have incurred. Please advise. My name is ********************* and my contact number is **************.

    Booked on March 1, 2024 for a stay on July *****, 2024. I specifically booked a property in a certain city to attend a party & stay at the same hotel as the host. The total for 2 nights was USD *****. I provided my ID ************************************************** information for a 4 pm check in which was supposed to be provided via email. On July 12, 2024 at 9:50 am est I called because no check info received. I was advised a manager would call me back. At 1:30 pm I was called & told my reservation could not be accommodated & I was booked at a sister property over a toll bridge & far away from original reservation. The rep said they just received notice on July 12, 2024 the property was not available. How can this be? They knew beforehand & did not notify me. Btw, I received multiple emails in the weeks prior requesting photo ID to get check in instructions. No offer of compensation for their incompetence. I had to ask, was put on hold for 10 minutes & then advised they would take 15% off. Unacceptable! Now Im far away from where I was supposed to be, pay an expensive bridge toll each way & unable to spend quality time with friends. Dont ever do business with VacayHomes Connect!
