On February 3, 4, and 5th, 2023. My minor son had agreed via NDA contract agreement, which I had to sign on his behalf at the time as his parent/acting counsel for previous shoots, to do reshoot work for **************************, a filmmaker out of ************ completed all of those days of work. ****** website is filmsbydeon.com. I submitted an invoice for his days/times of work on 2/17/2023. According to the contract **** composed himself/signed, my son was supposed to receive full payment for his work which totaled $1,325.00, within 30 days of the invoice submittal. That date that he was supposed to be paid within the time frame should have been 3/17/2023. In recent emails, **** stated to Z he would mail out the check on both 3/10 & 3/17 in an email to my son. **** asked Z what format he would like his check in and he told him by paper format in the mail. **** told my son that he would receive the paycheck in the mail paper last Wednesday 3/22/2023. Nothing came in the mail at all; then he stated that he apologizes & placed a stop payment on that check because it got lost in the mail. So, he would overnight the check (3/17/23, & it is 3/28/2023. **** blamed the ************ not himself, for missing the deadline. According to the contract **** must pay Z, 20% of the total earned income made which is $265 if he fails to get paid within 30 days of 3/17/23. **** has refused to give Z the $1,325 & the $265 too for D violating his own contract. Which it also states that if the check is not received 3/17 so every month Z would receive $265 additional income from **** for being late and not paying Z at all. It is now 11 days passed 3/17/23 & on 3/18/23 **** incurred an additional financial responsibility for (20% of $1325, which is $265-$1590). He is also refusing to let my son see his acting in the film that was made as well, which is cruel. And on April 1st this Friday **** will owe Z another $265 again new month. That new all-inclusive total 4/1 will be $1855. He has lied multiple times to us. Help.
