      I bought a membership to planet fitness Pullman location (***** *********************, *******, **) in ************************************************** 2019. I was still getting billed so I went in to the store in 2019 and asked to cancel my membership. I was told that I could not cancel my membership because I owed a debt. I was not told about a freeze or any other options. I went in the store today April 7,2022. I asked a new employee (today was her one month anniversary on the job) to cancel and she did, but quickly got reprimanded by the woman who claimed to be the store owner. The store owner again told me I shouldnt been able to cancel my membership because I now owe over $700. I asked for this in writing (that I could not cancel) she (the store owner) refused. I asked for a copy of my contact, she also refused. Upon searching for a corporate number we noticed that this planet fitness in the ******************* *********************) was permanently closed, but I just walked in the store today and it was open and running.

      I have attempted to cancel my contract several times. I tried logging into my account to do this but in order to reset my password I have to received an email from them which I never received after several tries. I have been constantly been charged and sometimes causing my account to overdraft.

      I believe I should be refunded for 6 months I was charged for membership when I was trying to cancel it. I was charged overdraft fees also for those months in the amount of $34 each.My membership was not canceled until I contacted BBB.

      Hello,
      Per the agreement: Members have full control over the payments and can stop any monthly membership fees on or around the 17th of the month, the club must receive written notification delivered to the club the 10th of the month either in person or preferably via certified mail to the club addressed listed on the agreement. There is no record of any cancellation request prior to March 23, 2022.

      There is no where stating any of this about a certified letter. When I went to the website I was told I could log into my account though my online account. I attempted several times to reset my password to log in but never received the reset email from the website to reset it.The only reason it was canceled in March is because I filed the complaint with BBB.
